Got from what I consider a good source that Tempe called TS & ask him to submit his bid to them.

I can tell you(Tempe if you read this) this is screwed up bad. And the working short handed EVERY day is taking a HUGE toll on ALL of us & then there was the Sunday night screw up. We are missing bags big time + you are fixing to see a lot more sick time if things do not change.

Different airline, same movie.

Every three months they try to reinvent the wheel and without fail, every three months they drive it off a cliff at 100 mph.The most disheartening thing is they get input from the union, take things "Into consideration" and still drop a bid that is a steaming heap of dung. They will never admit to a mistake and ask the union for a mulligan after a month of a bid that is an obvious train wreck, oh no, they'll go down with the ship.Idiots.

The real fun is watching them scurry around from meeting to meeting trying to puzzle out how a small station like LGA can lead the system in man hours lost to injuries on duty or being summoned to DFW to account for blowing through more OT hours in a month than some other stations do in a quarter.

When we had competent supervisors all that needed to be changed on a bid was the dates it ran through, but now it seems everyone wants a crack at building a better mouse trap and we pay the price.

Its ashame that I was working on Thursday evening and I tried to make the bags connect, and we only had 3 guys on my flight...We had extra bags from the west coast that of course were not on the sheets given to us ABR runners, this not only causes confusion, it delays us getting the bags to the next gates...We need help and real bad.....the plane came in 5 minutes past the time it was supposed to and only gave us about 10-15 minutes to get the bags to the next gates....I tried my damnest to get them delivered, but failed to get about 20 bags to the next gates...I am sure the customers were not happy when they got home from the 5 hour trip from the west coast and then to there final destination and not have there bags...This is very sad, as I strive to do my job to the best that I can....being short handed doesnt make me happy....

They are going to have to do something. The bagroom is so short staffed & overworked with this 6 gate crap & there are so many bags the bag belts won't even run. God alone know how many bags were missed last night due to this. Just wait till next week when temps. are in the mid to upper 90's it will all crap out. The bag room people are humans & not slaves. They CAN'T do any more. Who ever's idea this 6gate stuff was needs to be fired as well as whom ever is responsible for staffing.

Talked to someone who worked in baggage last night. Said 34 claims off the two evening flights from CLT. Looks like they're doing a good job saving $ on the CLT budget? Too bad the outstations are raking in the overtime expense and delivery expense. So, how much is this staffing model saving the company? lol

Yep the outlining stations are seeing the ramification of upper management staffing model

How many bags have to miss, or more important, how many fine people have to get hurt before someone wakes up and realizes that it costs MORE to understaff in the long run than it does to provide adequate coverage to get the job done?

Apparently CLT is mis-connecting hundreds of bags a day. I would imagine it costs at least $100 per bag if not more between delivery charge and customer compensation (ha!)....so adding one or two people per shift would probably actually SAVE them money....but oh...I forgot---you can't see that on a spread sheet.....

Amazing...just amazing......

Art I would guess it's into the thousands of mis connect bags just based on what I see myself. I can't go into details here but I had a interesting conversation with one of our managers that I like last night. He told me that they are trying to get the staffing issues changed & that they have told Tempe that this will NOT work, The staffing issues came from Tempe.

Right now this place is on "life support" here & is in a total "crash & burn" mode. Big delays are being taken on the gates due to staff shortage.

Oh & july 1-8 may get interesting 😉

Another example of "the high cost of cheap" or, as I prefer to call it, "penny wise and pound foolish". Sadly, that does seem to be Tempe's SOP.

Staffing numbers? What a joke! It is a free for all in the hubs. I am surprised the aircraft even leave the gates. There is no staffing and there is no hiring although so many apply the take NO ONE
ITS ALL A FACADE. GO ONLINE AND APPLY. YOU WILL GET A DENIAL LETTER WITHIN24 HRS

This past saturday I was delivering bags and go to the bagroom and hardl a sole was working, This nice lady from AA came up to me and ask if I knew what was going on, I told her I was on the bottom of the food chain, she had a bag that need to go to GSO I checked to see where it was going and iI told her I would get it to the gate....I did indeed get it to the gate even though the aircraft was already to get pushed back, they opened it for me and took the bag....I am sure someone was going to be happy to get that bag....

Blessings to our little bag bin buddies. Rejoice in the opportunity to go ABOVE & BEYOND. Strive for that elite chairman preferred employee status and attain your calling to supper with the airline god's at the PHX temple. Bring your knee pads for the prayer service.

What is the time gap between one parttime shift ending and the next parttime shift starting?

Read your CBA, it should be in there, or dont you have a shop steward or a grievance committee?
