New IOC...Named for Bob Baker

Why did they name it after Bob Baker? They should have named it after Don Carty. He is the most responsible for making AA what it is today.

If you have to ask the question, you probably have no idea who Baker was.

You're serious?

Sarcasm, noun: the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny!

Carty was the leader with visión to buy TWA and used the threat of bankruptcy to start the gutting of our unión contracts. Without Carty's leadership AA would have never survived the 2000's.

Rogallo,,,,do you still think he's being sarcastic?
He said Carty made AA what it is today...you can figure the rest out.
Using this logic, maybe it should be named the Tom Horton Center.

Not to mention the millions he spent on trying to acquire Canadian Air.

I know this is off topic a bit, but I think AA and CP were a good fit.  Also, the stunt he pulled with Onex Corp. in trying to skirt Canadian foreign ownership laws while trying to acquire AC - if it would have worked - could have been genius.

And just to continue off topic and on the Canadian, eh, theme - if it ever was called the Tom Horton Center, could a Tim Hortons open up across the street?
