My kids and I are non-revving first thing tomorrow morning, and I'm evidently suffering from short-term memory loss. 😉 We can now wear shorts and t-shirts in coach, right? Or did I make that up? The hub still lists the old dress code.
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you're right .... I haven't tried it yet though ... I might carry some jeans and a polo in my carry-on just in case you get hasseled at the gate ... let us know how it goes ... Have a Great Trip!!

From the announcement of the new non-rev program last year:

"Coach - Shorts, jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers are permitted in good taste."

"F/C - Business casual such as golf shirts, khakis, black denim, open toed dress sandles."

Have a good flight....

Thanks for your help. Last time we flew was to SYR, in Nov, so the shorts thing was a non-issue! Most of our trips the past few years have been to visit family, but we're going to be trying some day trips and overnights this summer. I want the kids to experience the feel of different cities. (And my son wants to visit baseball stadiums!)

No problem at all - had it saved on the computer. Have a great time.

A wise NRSA will always dress for First Class. You would hate to see the flight push with coach full and an empty seat in First. Just a word to the wise. Remember the 5 P's: Preperation Prevents Pi$$ Poor Performance.

TRUE. My brother-in-law was denied f/c very recently following the new dress codes. The east has always had a stricter dress code so agents may lean towards that tendency.

have a great trip there. I told my dad the other day that he couldnt wear shorts on the DASH form SBY to PHL cause I didnt know the new dress code. But then most agents probably follow the old stricter codes?

As a customer service agent I have seen travelers in everything from kilts to komonos. The one thing I would remember when dressing for a flight is safety. If for some God forbid unfortunate reason there is an emergency and you have to exit the aircraft via the emergency slide, you may wish that you had on long pants (made of natural fibers) instead of having your bare legs as well as your children's bare legs getting slide burns. Also a layer of clothing (natural fibers like cotton denim jeans) between you and flames may make all the difference.

Sorry if I sound like an alarmist. Just food (safety) for thought.

Unfortunately, crew members don't dress like that. Bare legs, no natural fabrics, synthetic hose, etc...
