Northwest union seeks to halt Delta crew integration

They really have no leg to stand on (AFA). There is no NWA pilots, they merged under one for some time now. I believe its just another stalling tactic in hopes that somehow the NMB will rule in their favor. Just wait till they don't get their way and see AFA throw another stalling tactic in the mix.

AFA has to do what is necessary to protect it's membership and uphold it's contract. Although you might not agree with it, you will soon need to get over it. No matter what rules are in place, the union will be voted in. Hopefully and with much agreement from many of your co-worker's, you will finally be forced to wipe the brown from your nose. I have the Kleenex with allow in hand for you....

I guess one can dream.

can't wait to see UAL/CO try to get together LOL....

Doubt it will be that dramatic, it will go AFA, our work rules are much more desirable than CO's and we have many more members to push the vote, twice that of CO.

Umm, every FA is eligible to vote. I agree there should be a vote on representation now with current rules. If the rules change, then call for another vote. The issue isn't between DL and AFA agreeing on anything. The AFA decided to call off the election. I could really care less if they are union or not, I don't have a vote either. I just think the AFA needs to let things move forward so the company can move forward, union or not. The AFA is concerned about losing their precious money.

Now that Nobama has slipped his guy,Craig Becker , in during spring break, look for the AFA and IAM to be pushing for a vote in the near future !

"Obama announced plans on March 27 to name Becker, a lawyer and Democrat who represented the AFL-CIO and the Service Employees International Union, using executive powers to bypass confirmation by the Senate, which had blocked a vote this month."

Better go educate yourself, Mr Becker is on the NLRB which administers the NLRA, not the RLA which would be the NMB, his appointment has nothing to do with Unions and the airline industry,.

I love it when your words make you look like.....

700UW, I'm not going to tell you again. Southwind's mind is made up. Do NOT attempt to confuse him with facts.

Oh I know Jim but its fun to point out he/she knows nothing about unions and is brain washed,

RLA, NLRA, NMB...

You mean they are different things?

RLA: Railway Labor Act, administered by the National Mediation Board (NMB). Not the NLRA: National Labor Relations Act, administered by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)

I did know that. I was being sarcastic...

I am sure Southwind will thank you for the clarification.

Well I guess they didn't 🙂 cross fleeting has already begun for
out Pilots and May 1st for F/A's

Out of curiosity about how DL is going to handle it, will the F/A's on a flight be mixed PMDL & PMNW or will the entire F/A crew on a flight be either all PMDL or PMNW?

Jim

Either one or the other. No mixing until organizational issues are settled.

So much for the much hyped "Scope clause"
