THERE IS A BUYOUT BEING OFFERED FOR CREW SCHEDULERS IN PIT.i HEAR THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO TAKE THE BUYOUT.iT SEEMS THAT A LOT OF SCHEDULERS CANNOT HANDLE THE WEST MANAGEMENT STYLE AND JUST WANT TO GET OUT.

I am TDY in PIT, and heard this very same thing from a long-lost chair on the patio at the Sea Shell Lounge.

Wonderful... I certainly hope that none of the schedulers from the East decide to take it!! Just what we need is some inexperienced McDonald's workers who have no clue of the airline industry in control of crewmember's lives. I'm sure the director level from Am. West would love nothing more than for this to happen.

Most likely it will be the east schedulers that will take the offer. They will be replaced with east employees whose jobs are being moved west. Dont worry USstew you will not have to deal with us McDonald west schedulers until there is a unified contract.

you people really need to stop the east west bashing b.s. it's gotten very old and extremely childish. i am sure that the west schedulers are as much experienced and professional as our east ones are.

There hasn't been anything near experienced or professional that has come by way of Tempe. Just thinkof all the "improvements" they have foisted upon us and now the latest "cactus". Neither term is part of their vocabulary. Amateurish and Inept are much closer to the truth. Res Migration and Qik/shares are just one of their highlights. What's next? Charging for seat belts?

Putting the OCC in Pit was a mistake.
In fact I think the company keeping any support offices in PIT is a huge mistake, duplicity and big waste of money. The future of this company is PHL, CLT & PHX and the longer we have substantial split in our work units the longer we will be dysfunctional. All the support and back offices should be in CLT or PHX IMHO and we don’t need East & West branches for each departmentthey should be in one located.! Tempe has tried to protect those PIT jobs for political reasons and I would like to think if they could do it all over again they would not.

Nothing political about OCC being in PIT. It was where the professionals the company needed to run the operation were.

You just can't hire Dispatchers off the street like you can in all the departments in Tempe.

I don't know if it was a mistake or not.

In my opinion...maybe. Personally, I think it should have come to CLT. The City Managers here offered great terms for our business.

What I think should have happened from the get go......was HQ should have been moved to the east coast. Be it PHL or CLT.

Bad move Doug....

The lion's share of our business is on the east coast not to mention our International flights. We crack the whip for hours before anyone in PHX has even opened an eye lid. And it causes huge problems.
