C'mon, you say you're educated and informed. You should know by now that campaign promises are an empty bag, regardless who is making them. That's why you have to look at the individual and not what party they belong to or what they're promising to buy votes.

Plus, only a real idiot would have believed the DNC's promises to get out of Iraq. They played on anti-Bush sentiments (no doubt fueled by the media's contempt for the current administration), and people voted based on emotion rather than having the facts. Sounds a lot like union elections... the majority don't vote on the facts -- they vote based on fear-mongering, uncertainty, and doubt...

It's funny how some people, i.e. Ed Norton, think that there is something sinister about two former presidents from two different political parites being freinds. When one looks at the history of politics you will find other cases of this. Up until the 1960 election JFK and Nixon were freinds. Since you brought up the subject of Nazis, do you know who Fritz Thyssen was? In case you don't, he was Hitler's financier. Fritz, with the help of Herbert Walker and his son in law, Prescott Bush (Brown Brothers Harriman) ran the financial and industrial engine (including the management of slave labor) of the Nazi regime through the Union Banking Corporation and other holding companies. Though illegal to do so after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Bush and co. continued to aid the Nazis until the government stopped them in October of 1942 and seized the assets of Union Banking Corporation et.al but allowed them to continue operating through the Government Alien Property custodian office. After the war, the seized assets of UBC were released to Brown Brothers Harriman. The assets were liquidated and Prescott Bush received $1.5 million (thats 1940's dollars) for his share of UBC. Most people on this forum believe that everything just happens by accident. Having said that; oil is going up because those damn enviro-wackos don't allow the benevolent oil companies to open new refineries, a school of mackarels ran into a North Sea Oil rig, and a love sick Carabou poked a hole through a pipe in Alaska. It has nothing to do with price fixing by the OPEC cartel or the fake....I mean ...real....peak oil theory, or a weakening dollar.
Stop being such a defeatist! The stock market will NEVER crash, its at record highs! The Fed will keep printing more money to keep it afloat! How much more monopoly money will they print? Who knows? They stopped publishing the M3 reports. M3, what does BMW have to do with anything?
Don't forget that China; the role model for what the globalist have in store for our country (a fascist feudal state with no civil liberties) is our free trade partner.
