Oil Rising Rapidly

So we have to drill in our own back yard, risk environmental damage, pollute the air we breath so that we can postpone developing alternate fuels and not worry about conservation?

That makes a lot of sense.

I unlike the rest of the brainwashed Left...don't believe the global warming hype....don't bother trying to convince me...if you ( the LEFT..i.e GORE) can't convince countless scientists..who have disproved the theory...you (not a scientist) can not convice me either.

Don't waste your time typing a long argument...because you are wasting your time....I don't care, insult me do whatever you want, to make yourself look good from behind a computer.

global warming is bullsh*t

have a nice day.

Need to get yourself up to speed, technology has come a long way. More then you think. They can pinpoint reserves, with minimal/negligible impact on the environment. You still have visions of oil wells spewing over the tops and coal mines? Not even close.

Stop listening to the bleeding heart liberal environmentalists and do some research on your own.

But then again you think the worlds problems are a result of an SUV.
Okay...we've got enough to last us 21 years. At what point do you consider trading in the SUV and stop burning oil that takes a few million years to replace?

There is an estimated 2 trillion barrels of oil buried beneath parts of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Geologists, petroleum companies and the federal government have known about these massive deposits for nearly a century.

"U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!" Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia

18-times as much oil as Iraq

21-times as much oil as Kuwait

22-times as much oil as Iran

500-times as much oil as Yemen

and it's all right here in the Western United States ...

How can this be? How can we not be extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil. Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy.

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East - more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

As usual, radical environmentalists and a government that's in bed with them have blocked the extraction of this oil. We are losing our country piece by piece.

Wow....they've "known" about this for a half century, yet during that time they've drilled countless "dry holes" in west Texas.....why didn't someone tell them back then that they were wasting their time?

Good enough. I remember when gas was hitting $4 a gallon here in the midwest...the news stations had "live" interviews with folks who were outraged at the price of gasoline....as they filled their Suburban. I have no problem with what one drives, but when gas hits $4 a gallon, don't whine because you're vehicle costs over $100 a week to fill up.

Makes on wonder.

If it was profitable, they would have found a way to do it here. Period.

How did all that happen with a Texas oilman republican President, with a republican controlled congress at the helm???

don't worry...whining will never solve the problem...but when your battery pack decides to take a dump....remember to recycle it! along with your car

Because of the liberal looney environmentalists, tree huggers, bleeding hearts, global warming idiots, etc.

How about you read what I write instead of read what you wish I said?

I spoke of pollution not global warming. I spoke of environmental damage not global warming. Do you actually deny that burning fossil fuels contributes to pollution? Do you deny that if we had alternative fuels running our vehicles and power plants that the air we breath would be cleaner?

As far as GW is concerned. So what if science has not proven it yet. There are quite a few things that science took quite some time to prove. That does not mean that the theory was wrong prior to it being proven. No one knows what kind of impact man has on the planet. The rub is that we do not have an 'easy' button or a "reset" button. If we screw it up, it's screwed up. We are playing with our future and that seems quite irresponsible. I do not know if it's true or not. I tend to believe man does have an impact on the environment. To what extent no one knows. I would rather believe the GW folks and try to limit our foot print than take your line of reasoning and end up down the line having to explain to the kids of the future that we just did not give a rats ass about the world that they would have to grow up on.

I'm 5 years into the battery packs on 2 of them (65k and 100k mile) and 2 months into the battery pack on the third. They all seem to be going strong.

blah..blah..blah ......save it ....stop wasting your time.
Our planet is doing just fine!

So...you'd have no problem buying the house next to the factory? I mean...pollution isn't a problem...right?
