What's new

One Operating Certificate

There are two seperate issues at play here. Single Certificate and Ops Integration. Single Cert has nothing to do with Ops system integration. Single Cert could happen as soon as June 1st, but Ops Integration will be postponed until Sept or Oct so that we do not have a similar melt down as we did with Res Migration.

With both operations on the same certificate, does the company have the option of putting new aircraft on which ever side they wish??? Sounds like the whole whipsaw scenario to me, to either side.

Just look at ATLAS/POLAR. Arbitrated Sen. List. Two separate certificates. Polar has furloughed while ATLAS hires. Not one Polar Pilot offered a recall on the ATLAS side although owned by the same company. This whole mess is a management dream come true. Two pilot groups that will do nothing to help one another in the future. What a Union..what a joke!! Whipsaw will be an understatement in the coming months

In general, yes - which is why I advised several posters to read their transition agreement before being so sure that any growth and widebodies would automatically go to the East side.

The transition agreement lays out both the fleet and fleet plan that existed for each side when it was signed. Those aircraft could not be transfered to the other side. New aircraft (not contained in the fleet plan) could be put where-ever with a process to decide how that new flying was to be split between the pilot groups(ala the 190's and ex-ata 757's).

The next deliveries contained in the fleet plan are not till 2009 on specific dates. Anything else can be put on either side.

Hopefully cert merge will not be until the merger of SOC/OCC in PIT in 2009. So we can can dispose of FOS/FADS/DECS/SABRE/MOCHA

Oh, yeah. There's some good-looking software there. I think we just stepped back about 20 years. FADS is a DOS shell. Heck, we'll all need magnifying glasses to wade through that.

Not to mention the joke of every night, as the date changes, we have to "rebuild" flights?? And the east thinks this is a GOOD sytem?

The Ops Integration will supposedly happen September 25-26. That's per a manager.
