Photo ID Required...

As I understand the legislation the Voter ID bill only addresses voter impersination fraud of which there have been very few convictions. Not nearly enough to swing any type of election.

The number of people who would be disenfranchised is quite large by most estimates. Why these people do not have ID I do not know but they do not and they have a constitutional right to vote.

The voter fraud that the right is talking about will not be addressed by the legislation. The legislation will be disenfranchising mainly minority voters.

The people who do not have IDs are probably not driving cars, do not have bank accounts (no or little money so why have one),... so I am pretty sure it is not those people who are being disenfranchised.

Choosing a president (or any elected official) is a right afforded by the COTUS to every citizen of the US.

Let’s be honest about what we know and what we don’t know about the effects of new ID laws and voter turn out.

There is little evidence of significant in-person voter fraud of the sort that would justify strict voter ID laws. At the same time, there is little evidence that the adoption of voter ID requirements suppress voter turnout.

While Republicans exaggerate the threat of in-person voter fraud, Democrats exaggerate the threat of voter ID laws. In both cases, the claims far outstrip the available evidence.

This isn't an isolated case I bet.

A brief moment of sanity in this thread. Thank you.

Just like everything else, I'd suspect MSM to do backflips reporting any real voter fraud.
