Pilots Being Asked To Give Again!

Put yourself in the shoes of U mgt... try to think like them for just a few minutes (be careful, you don't want to brainwash yourself!)

The employees have never said NO. Why would you stop collecting free money if the source is still flowing? (

Oh but the mechanics did say No during BK1. But Our weak union lied to us for one week and said the company is making us revote the contract. Then they admitted that we were confused ( basically calling us ignorant and stupid) and AGREED to revote the same POS contract. That was when the fighting machinists turned into the FRIGHTENED machinists. From that day on when the union showed they were weak the company has had their way with our group.

I guess my question is....when did they (management of USAirways group) become trustworthy?

Sure you do and I am happy for you. But then why do say you won't give any more money?

pitguy,

You are a fool. Management a week ago said at the MEC meeting that the company would not approach any labor group for more money.

Go away and irriate another group.

I find it amusing that you believe what you just wrote.

-Run Forest run...

By the way, A 320 Driver is NOT the same as A320Pilot

I realize that, and I was looking for 320Pilot...He must be crunching some numbers again.

P,

You are in the same group of fools who say they believe that voting no through this whole process was the thing to do...you are not fooling anyone who has any common sense, quite simple you look like a bigger fool today than you did back then.

Ya I know, we could have had a better deal, we didn't have to do this, that, or the other thing...have you read the news lately...are we the only airline struggling?

I am surprised you could even begin to type this kind of stuff. The employees who have the courage to make the tough decisions (and admit it) are the reason this airline is here today. If you don't like it take a hike! Stop insulting those with courage and honesty.

You are a sad example of what is wrong with this place!

Your whole post confirms that there is no point at which the pilots would say "no" as a group.

Mgt can always count on 51% of the pilots to say "yes" to the more drastic paycuts for the other 49%.

The truth of their honor is self-evident.
Does it so easily escape your notice that BK1 wasn't supposed to happen because the pilots gave the pension with a promise to prevent BK1? Does it not seem even more ironic that it was not even able to prevent BK2?
When you teach your dog to do tricks like "roll over", does it mean he is a whimp when he "rolls over" or does it just mean he rolls over on command?

If I think like mgt, I could care less if you as a pilot give me more money because you are a whimp or if is because you believe I am the best frickin mgt team that will provide you with crack if you just give me a little starter money. The only thing I care about is that you drop money in my bucket when I pass it around.

Ta Ta...

I have no problem with pilots giving more? Just an observation by a Neanderthal, thug.

scources people, give me scources. if you do not have a reliable scource then keep it to your self. :glare:

etops1...they do have sources man...."some ramper told them, don't you understand". So it must be true.

You are a fool. Management a week ago said at the MEC meeting that the company would not approach any labor group for more money.

No one has ever told them 'no' though and maybe they want to test the waters once again. I still think more concessions would pass though. I mean what other choices do pilots have to make what kind of money they still would make?

You're right Pitguy. My wife worked for TWA, and she said until someone tells them "NO" they'll keep coming back to the employees because management perceives them as weak.

I hear from both sides of the fence what is going on. I still get calls from my old colleagues asking my advice on business decisions at U. For me to name them on this public forum would be a travesty and something I would never do to these people whom for years have placed trust in me. Sorry!
I am not saying you are taking more concessions. What I am saying is there are verbal talks and people have been approached about the cost of fuel and the burn rate of cash and the need for more money. Will it come to fruitation? I do not know. I do know statistically if the pilot group does not give more money the days are numbered at U. The cost of fuel and weak bookings amongst the many other issues are starting to pile dirt on top of U's grave. The best shot U has at making it alone right now is 20%. Odds are great the assets will be sold or the airline will be piece mealed. Also odds are great that no one has any interest in taking on the pilot group as employees. I bet by the end of summer you may wish you gave more.
