Busy helping the teamsters dilute the AMFA card drive? Just a guess since they provided all of our emails and addresses to the ibt.All this merger talk ,always worrying about the pilots. Where the %^*^% is the TWU. Freaking pisses me off!!

Where the %^*^% is the TWU?
Several things:
1. Why would you want the most worthless union sending its stooges to a meeting like that anyway? Hasn't the TWU agreed to give up enough on your behalf already?
2. The pilots are there because they have a claim worth 13.5% of the new AMR, which could easily be worth more than $100k each, on average. The TWU, on the other hand, has a claim worth 4.8% spread across almost three times as many employees, which might be worth $10k to $15k per TWU-represented employee, on average. Simply put, the pilots have some real skin in the game. The TWU? They have no real influence.
3. A merger affects the pilots's seniority and possibly affects their pay in potentially huge ways. The TWU? A merger increases the pay of AA's mechanics, according to Bob Owens (AA's are the lowest paid, he says). So for the mechanics, just hope there's a merger and you'll get a small raise out of it. But you don't need to send Little and his gang of idiots to give away more of what you have.
When AA filed its Ch 11 petition, I posted that one of the worst things that could happen to AA's mechanics would be that the TWU would be their bargaining agent in bankruptcy. And I don't think there's any debate about it - I was right. Not only did you have the worthless union "negotiating" on your behalf in bankruptcy, now you have the worthless union "representing" you in a possible merger. The quotation marks were intentional.

Sad but true.
It is as if we are always standing around with a gun to our own head screaming "one more step and stupid gets it"!
Pay is more than the wage.Regarding lowest paid according to a pay scale passed out here at work today I hate to say it but usair mechs make less than us. They will be getting a raise in this merger while we get crap! Thanks TWU and thanks tul. Btw tul has two years left after the merger thanks to the agreement the TWU made with usair. So if your in Tulsa start packing
