I am just curious, if PIT hub closes, where will everyone go? I am particularly interested in those who live in PIT, will you move or not, etc?

Hippie,

As you can see...I am not finished with this management yet. I probably am here for rhe count...follow them down that "yellow brick road" everywhere they go, until they leave first, if I can help it. I may wait around for 2009 for the strike fund to be funded and than raise bloody hell leading a job action, rising to the occasion for the "fight of life, freedom, fairness, equal justice, and finally peace in the work place, once again. Yes, folks I think I will stay. Management knows me all too well.

Mid Atlantic will be an interesting endeavor for me...yes, Indeed I may rise to that challenge too.

PITbull, I am one of those employees that has decades to go before "mandatory" retirement. We love PIT, but I've got little kids that need both parents. I can't subject my spouse to twenty plus days at home alone, nor deprive the kids of both parents. I am stuck. My spouse is already in touch with real estate people in Charlotte. I am lucky enough not to live near the PIT airport. Sadly, I think a lot of people are going to have a heck of a time selling their homes down in Moon Township if the hub closes. This is going to be tough on a lot of families. Ask any furloughed person. Still, in the end, we are the lucky ones. We're still employed. Employed by satanic management, but nonetheless employed.

Hippie,

Very true, yes indeed. True words spoken.

But we can be "caustic" to. I know I am capable of much. I will use my head, and everything I am made of to ffight for justice and all well prevail. I am not leaving here until I get what I seek.

Time will tell if I will prevail and bring us to a middle ground, or perish. Don't want to sound over bearing or bold, or arrogant.
Time will tell. I am on a mission with much backing.

After ssing the way this management team is running the airline,it won't be long till we are out of business,so I will not go anywhere for this sorry outfit.I flew rountrip PIT-MSP on Northwest on Thursday, and there service was so superior to ours that I am embrassed to say that I work for US Airways.I don't blame any of us for our poor service,we just treat the passengers like management treats the employees!

We do not treat the passengers any where near the way this "sick" management treats us. Its "inhuman" and indescent". Its not in the employee thought process.

We would never turn and inflict any disrespect or disregard on our passengers who never asked or deserve any wrath from an employee. They have been supportive and innocent, wanting only to go from point A to B, peacefully, safely, plesantly, and uneventful. And we will provide that to the Max to our valued cusotmers nspite of this mangement.

In the meantime, our focus and wrath is stricktly on this management and their blatant disregard of all our agreements as well as employee mistreatment.

hey hip...don't put the house up quite yet.....
if you read the blurbs from U and rendell...there is a lot of wanting in PIT between both parties.i know rumors abound but i'd wait until the fat lady starts singing.

delldude, not doing a damn thing until the fat lady sings. Unfortunately, I hear her humming from afar. I don't want to move, the kids and spouse sure don't want to move. PIT is a great place to live.

Don't be afraid to tell them to shove it.I did after 22 years. There is life outside of US.

well you can always take the layoff and do some soul searching....or house searching...
i'd bet clt would be a hard place to hold with 86 or early 87 seniority being the bottom.lets hope it all works out.

delldude, that's not an issue. Soul searching has been done. This is about survival and having a life. Ask any flight crew member or displaced agent or mechanic that commutes to work, its not a life its a prison sentence.

you're right there...i see it everyday in my department.
i'm to the point where i want finality, one way or the other...i just want to know.

Just give me my 15 weeks of severance and I am history! I will not follow a job with this company, I just want out!!! As someone once put it "time to get on with my life's work"
