6 days after this picture was posted everyone got their eviction notice. They must be out by the end of the week. Was this just a coincidence?

It would be a good source of income considering that parking lot is never used. AA built a parking lot with a 4th hangar in mind but it was never built. But, it is one thing if the RV were taking up parking spaces that were needed, and if the employees were storing and not living their, but some of these people are so down on their luck right now - they actually called that area home.

Some people clearly -are/were- storing stuff there. Last time I drove thru, there were two or three boats and a flatbed trailer.

Personally, I don't see why anyone at AA would object, unless either Grapevine or DFW have an overnight parking ordinance that they weren't enforcing up until now.

Well, that would really screw up midnight shift and those who go on field trips for days or flight crews. Being that this has been going on for as long as I've been at here, I doubt it has anything to do with ordinances. FYI...the eviction notices are said to come from AA, not the police.

Just remember that management does not keep an eye on internet sites like this one.
Somebody must be very proud for evicting these guys.
Now we can concentrate on pulling together to win.

Totally agree. If it isn't illegal, isn't against written company policy, and isn't costing the company any money, cracking down makes no sense.

I've seen a few motorhomes parked in back of the SRO and at the Flight Academy, so it isn't just the AMT's and FSC's.

If/when I transfer, I plan to live out of my fifth wheel in a parking lot for at least a month until I figure out if/where to move. Got solar panels so I don't need to run the genny, and with DirecTV mounted to the ladder, it's got all the comforts of home. Plus, there's no lawn to mow or water, and if I don't like the neighbors, I can just hook up and move a couple hundred feet down the row. Try that with an apartment or a rent house.

I guess we'll see now if this eviction is applied evenly or just for DFW maintenance only. 😉

This is just another example how how full of crap this management is. Those guys are doing what they can and all the company sees fit to do is throw another wrench into their survival plan, just because they can.
