Psa has offered a leave for december but just for pilots. They wont need too for flight attendants since most dont stay long anyways. I guess this means more outsourcing

I think most mainline pilots see added flying that goes to PSA as outsourcing. Sounds like not much is going to change. -Cape

BTW Sorry to hear about the Vol Furloughs. Hopefully it will only be for the month (hey if you have to take a month off Dec and Xmas are a good one). Good luck.

Did they reduce flying? I agree with Cape, I hate any "parking" of people, but if it's only a month..Dec is a good pick.

Rumors of 10 200's being returned but no confirmation from anyone in management.

They are not returning 10 200's. They have the OPTION to return them in the 6 months following the bk exit. 10 airplanes going away is 1/4 of the fleet and would result in a lot more than 16 guys being laid off for 1 month. BTW, the company approached the MEC to seek relief from the contract to allow the guys that take the leave to continue to accrue longevity. If it was anything more than 1 month, i find it hard to believe that the company would be so nice.

The 200's might go away one day, but that has nothing to do with the voluntary leaves....We did this about 2 years ago too and it was just because we were overstaffed for one month.

Thanks for the perspective. And I second the 'good luck'...
