Just got my Skyword Express today and really liked the articles that the STL Chair and Vice Chair wrote. Definitely the kind of unifying message the membership needs and a refreshing change from the former leadership.

My question concerns Tim and Dixie and where they fall on the recall list? Are they now towards the top of the list for recall? What happens if they have not been recalled by the time their rights have expired? Will they have to resign? If they are recalled to a different base will they have to resign?

I would hate to lose these two great leaders in a year. Their base and the membership would surely suffer.

Dixie is in the July, '03 group. I'm not certain where Tim falls. They both are honorable, experienced, and savvy union leaders. If the APFA is brave enough, they will figure out a way not to lose their wise counsel. I think the STL active f/as are learning that there is a new style of leadership at the base. Knowing them it will certainly be more inclusive.

You can answer the "where do they fall" question yourself. I can't access Acrobat documents from here in the crash pad, but if you go to the Flight Service website, click on My Job over on the left. When that homepage comes up, you can open the 2006 Seniority List document over on the right hand side of the page at the top. Use the Search feature to find them both.

As I understand it, if their recall rights expire before they are recalled, they would have to resign. If they are recalled to a base other than SLT, they would have to resign.

They are both good people, strong union people, and both have the character to rise above what has happened in the past and work on improving conditions today. I agree totally. Losing them from APFA work would be a great loss.

All the more reason to pressure the union and the company to extend recall rights.

Tim and Dixie are a welcome asset to APFA. I have met them both at the PSP/bonus Rally in DFW and HDQ visit. I was leaving Union work as they were about to start..(at APFA) I know that the membership will benefit greatly from their perspective and experience. Im one of their biggest fans !

I think this statement applies to all former TWA'ers.

Just curious, how was your former representation?
