I would like to hear what East's, and West's preferences are for seniority integration. And why you feel that way.

i think it should go by DOH because I believe that is the easier of the two evil ways of combing theseniority and making it eaiser to integrat the fleet service of the two airlines jus tmy opinion

You know Barbee I find it somewhat amusing that you can make jokes about NJ in your signature line when the best thing you can say about AZ is is has this really BIG hole in the ground and exceptional roads leading OUT of the God Forsaken crap hole that is PHX. Been there don't wanna go back.

It does have the biggest and best hole in the ground and the roads are kept in good repair. Phoenix is not the best place in AZ. Myself.....I've been here for a while and I don't care for Phoenix either. I prefer the rural areas.....

To stay on topic. Date of hire in classification. I am sure this will put a knot in someones shorts

You wanna to get the ol' Barbee-man upset but it don't work because he don't like Arizona, either. 😛 I'd rather be in New Jersey. Air is probably cleaner, there.

Just curious but how would date of hire in classification work if an employee has been in different classifications during their employment?? Aren't CSR's and the like going through those issues right now? Have they resolved it?

Date Hired as a Part Time Agent

Date Hired as a Full Time Agent

No more 1/2 accrual for part time activity.

You are what you are, no more complaining about how much time you have at the airline, Full Time has it's date and Part Time has it's date.

Just like left seat/right seat

They dont care if you have done work in dozens of different jobs at the airline, it would be DOH in whatever "class" you are currently working under. You are fenced out of the others. Unless you want to start all over again.

For Barbee and Bob: Having lived in both places, they both have their advantages. Nothing like not shoveling snow after last weeks storms or worrying about wind chill factor. Theres also nothing like the jersey shore and hanging out in the Stone Pony saying Hi to THE BOSS as he walks by. Nothing like jumping a train to Madison Square garden from the nj suburbs and back the same day. Nothing like going to LAS and back to PHX the same day. Now both of you learn to appreciate we all have different tastes and be good. Mama.

So exactly what is wrong with date of hire seniority? Give me your reasons , besides the one where you say it makes you more junior.
