By the way, Hall's position is within the whole international. What kept him in power all these years is the ATD, not the bus and train sect.

Now that Hall is gone, Toussant of Local 100 stands to be elected next international president. If that happens, all the ATD boys are out!
Well I wish that were true. The fact is that Toussaint did not gain more ground within Local 100 and in fact probably lost ground in the ATD.

The crony and nepostic systems are still intact.

The system that help create Hall is in place for O'Brien.

Jack Sullivan and most of the 501 board were railroaded out of office with the help of the TWU International.

The lawsuit is pending, word is that the defendants have already offered an out of court settlement.

Bobby Gless tried ordering me to find out if Local 100 was funding the lawsuit at our last E-board meeting where he was President.

I nominated Jack Sullivan for office against the Hall slate and lobbied hard with the seperate line Locals to support the Toussaint ticket.

The Line Locals agreed to support Sullivan on the condition that we support Hall.

So both the 501 and 562 locals will probably be in the "Hall/O'Brien camp, depending on who goes to the Convention.

Looking at what has happened to Local 501 and myself how many other ATD members do you think will wipe out any chance of an International appointment and possibly end up getting thrown out of office?

You have to remember that even though the members have no way of knowing how their members vote, the International keeps a close watch on who is voting how. When we stood up and voted for Sullivan you should have seen the looks from Hall, Kerrigan et al.

The International has full access to all the Locals issues, even things that the members do not. The transparency is like a one way mirror, the International can see all but the members cant see anything.

So, while I would like to think that Toussaint would be able to take over and fix the TWU I dont think its likely unless we go to AMFA and our fellow TWU members at this company go to the AGW. The 30% reduction in the TWU and 50% reduction to the ATD would force a major reorganization along with a backlash against those in office. The SWA flight attendants would be the largest local within the ATD and more than likely they would no longer be willing to accept direction from a bunch of ex-AA officers whose own coworkers decertified the TWU due to their incompetance. The SWA flight attendants, although they are not that outspoken, have problems with the lack of Democracy and accountability within the TWU. You could see how shocked they were when their proposals for democratic reform at the last Convention were stomped on by Hall and his allies.

Hey Owens, you were wrong, period, end of statement. You have no loyalty or integrity. You saw a chance to be in the limelight and be a hero to all your amfa buds, you're a loser Owens.

Jim, what does the poll results prove? It proves that the amfa followers love a guy that sells his integrity so cheaply, that's all it shows, another worthless amfa poll is all.

Steve, surely you can comprehend the content, it's at the top of this thread. Try reading it again and perhaps you can figure it out.

Rusty that dumb #### can't read or he would read the 50 years of evolution in the twscrew contract and than look at the first contract by AMFA at Northwest and never give twscrew another second of his time. Your talking to a self serving liar. The Board has determined that the single craft or class of Airline Mechanics, Ground Service, Plant Maintenance, and Fleet Service Personnel is no longer a proper craft or class at either American or TWA-LLC. The proper crafts or classes are Mechanics and Related Employees, and Fleet Service Employees. American Airlines, Inc./TWA Airlines, LLC., 29 NMB 240, 251 (2002).1. NO VOTE  NO PEACE!!!!!!

Mark, what does anyone's contract have to do with this thread? Seems you're the one that can't read.

And I am so impressed by amfa's negotiating prowness in the contracts it has received. Outsource, furlough, pensions plundered....great track record, shall I read more Markie Mark?

Well if I was willing to "sell" my integrity then wouldn't I have just kept my thoughts to myself and continued collecting the $800/per month?

So a poll that asks where an elected representative loyalties lie is automatically an "AMFA" poll?

Your rants continue to be contradictory and illogical, just like you support of the TWU.

Where do elected representatives loyalties lie?...If you are a representative of the US Government then your loyalties are to that government. If you are mayor of a small town that wants communism, do you turn communist? Or do you stay loyal to your government?...we all know your answer Bob...you're a traitor.

So if the Nazis march into town do you become a Nazi? Or do you still try and stand by the principles of your constituants?

You used to be IAM, and now you are TWU. Did you choose to become TWU or did they simply switch you to being a TWU member? Did your coworkers vote on it? Or do you accept the premise you are merely the property of the IAM and they had the right to give you away to the TWU, without you having any say in the matter?

Since you no longer are supporting the IAM and instead you now support the TWU, arent you a traitor?

You are a Quisling.

If the small town wanted Communism then they should be allowed to elect leaders that will try to put that economic system in place, thats their right in a Democracy.

For your information there have been Socialist and Communist elected officials in the United States. I believe that there isw presently a Socialist congressman.

Elected representatives are supposed to act in the expressed interests of those that elected them. They should carry out what they told people they would try to do if elected.

Booby..why did I know you'd never take responsibilty for your actions...duhhh...another no brainer. You reply here just as AMFA blames the other unions, fancy that.
