Also, don't look now but the Dems tried to take the budget to Senate conference 18 times starting in Apr of 2013 and the republicans rejected every attempt.

This whole shut down was carefully orchestrated by the republicans. They waited till the last minute because they could not do via legislation. So they decided to hold the country hostage to get their way.

We all know what this is about. A law (BaRack-O-Care) was passed. BaRack decided to change certain things, which he cannot do, ( giving company's a one year pass on BaRack-O-Care) after the law was passed. The reason BaRack changed certain things, AFTER it was passed, was the 2016 elections and how BaRack-O-Care affecting businesses would have a negative effect on those elections, (The Demorats hope to have Pelosi at the helm, for BaRack's last 2 years, so he can continue to "Fundamentaly Change America") ! All the GOP is asking for, is those same exemptions for individuals !

Keep it shut down , until BaRack and Reid come to the table !

Why do they not employ the normal legislative process, introduce and pass a clean, separate, single-purpose bill to do that, get it passed, and if necessary, override the eventual veto?

Had the Senate done their job and worked on a budget with the House, this whole dog and pony show wouldn't have happened.

The House has passed budgets repeatedly which are ready to go to Conference Committee. The Senate hasn't.

So, please, do go quoting chapter and verse about what is and isn't required by law....

The Senate did do their job or did you miss the 18 attempts by the dems to bring a budget to conference? The republicans denied it each and every time. This will be tied to the republicans just as '95 was.
