To many of her constituents, Representative Giffords was a hero well before she became a victim. What many fail to recognize is that there was one person, one young adult male (name and political party affiliation unknown) that was prepared and equipped to become a hero to everyone. As it would come to pass and by no fault of his own, fate would intervene and change what could have been.

This man just so happened to be standing in the checkout line at a gift shop next door to the supermarket where Representative Giffords convened her town hall meeting. The man had parked his car in a parking spot adjacent to and in close proximity to where Representative Giffords was listening to the concerns of her constituents. The clerk at the gift shop had just given this man change from his purchase when he heard the loud and unmistakable sound of gun shots. He was within 20 seconds, 50 feet from his car when the gun fire erupted.

As he recalled his story to reporter, you could sense his frustration to the fact that he could have made a difference, saved a life if only fate had been on his side, on the victim’s side.

You see, this man was in legal possession of a concealed and loaded semi-automatic firearm.

We almost had our hero.

What ideals are those? When I watch republican senators lick the boots of Chase's CEO looking for handouts at a hearing where they were supposed to be grilling hom on how they could loose a couple billion dollars on bad trades I have to wonder what ideals you are talking about.

Or how they accuse the current president of "class warfare" when their god Ronald Reagan said pretty much the same thing when he was president. What ideal is it where your party talks about getting the governement out of peoples lives except for what they do in the privacy of their own home or doctors office and then it is the governements business.

I think he has a plan, but has run into people only interested in obstructing him from carrying it out. My fault w/Obama isn't that he doesn't have a clue (I think he does), but rather that he's spent too much time trying to appease the group across the aisle who have made it clear they can't stand him.

So he or Obama pay 15% on a gazillion bucks 'dividend' income and I pay 25 to 28 % on earned income....explain the difference.
