Romney Campaign Staged Donations At Storm Relief Event

Don't let the facts get in your way......

And don't forget:
Jeep has no intention of shifting production of its Jeep models out of North America to China,” Chrysler executive Gualberto Ranieri wrote in a statement, using italics for emphasis. “A careful and unbiased reading of the Bloomberg take would have saved unnecessary fantasies and extravagant comments.” Ranieri said the conclusion that it was moving all production to China was “a leap that would be difficult even for professional circus acrobats.”

This is kind of like Clinton's NAFTA. Cars were assembled in the US and sent to Mexico to install the seatbelts. Not ALL production will move, but read between the lines. In today's world, not everything is Made In The USA, only certain bodies or parts! So regardless what the argument or understanding is, there will be job losses.

Our GDP is dropping compared to other countries, including Mexico. Although we made a few gains, we are still losing manufacturing jobs at an alarming rate.

DETROIT – Even after Chrysler Corp.'s Gualberto Ranieri, vice president of communications, said Friday, “Let's set the record straight: Jeep has no intention of shifting production of its Jeep models out of North America to China,” the Romney campaign put out a false and misleading ad basically repeating his bogus statement made Thursday in Ohio that Chrysler was moving all Jeep production to China.

Our fire protection and EMS were privatized. Response times improved. Cost to taxpayers decreased. Go figure.

Well Eric, perhaps fellow REPUG Chris Christy...'might be interested in your situation ?

You never know, maybe C C might want to Dump F E M A ?

But I......D O U B T...I T !

On a different note,......Imagine if EL-CHIMPO had made as many trips to New Orleans, as B O has made to NJ.
(rather than staying safely tucked away behind the window in his 4-engine cocoon).

Dunno, Bears.

There was a lot of talk post-Katrina about how Albertsons, Kroger, Walmart, Home Depot, and even Waffle House were able to mobilize supplies and have them staged and ready for delivery at the affected areas *before* the storm hit.

Relief supplies were in the impacted areas before FEMA officials could get off their conference calls. Home Depot had temporary stores up and running while FEMA was still trying to figure out how to get enough helicopters and boats into New Orleans for rescue operations.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The military outsourced troop movements to private enterprise via CRAF back in the Vietnam era, and expanded that for Gulf I and Gulf II.

About 10 years ago, the USPS gave up on trying to run their own fleet of airplanes for express mail -- that was all outsourced to FedEx.

At military bases across the country, things like gate security, food service, and trash removal were outsourced vs. using enlisted men -- someone figured out that driving a garbage truck stateside wasn't the best use of the budget...

Those are all examples of government outsourcing something to an organization who clearly understood the core service being delivered.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now.... Let's look at FEMA and relief supplies...

Do you really think that FEMA can do a better job of mobilizing trucks/employees and getting material moved quickly and efficiently than a hypothetical combination of Walmart, Home Depot, Fedex and UPS?

Who do you think would do it faster and more cost effectively? Government? Or the guys who do this every day to keep their companies moving.

Just think that over for a few hours, OK?

More troops are still moved on Military A/C than commercial, CRAF is only used in time of war or build up to war.
