Just FYI, found out this morning that someone posted a company press release on another airline bulletin board. The release announces a furlough of up to 928 f/as and a forced 2 month leave of absence for another 200+. The person, (may their name be cursed), posted it as if it applied to this September. If you read all the way to the end of the press release, there was a little note at the end...original publication date, 9/9/2009.
They just recycled last year's announcement. I guess in order to stir up a mess. Nothing has been decided regarding furloughs, and the decision will be up to the new regime which doesn't even take office until next Monday.
