HP used to fly 747s 😉 to NRT and HNL ironically enough 😉

and, I believe, it was to HNL, then NRT. Very short lived operation. I think an initial flight had one (1) passenger.

747 is a great airplane, there is a youtube of one landing on a less than very short strip in South Africa.

I believe all of ATAs planes were leased and might go to North American or World since they are owned by the same parent company.

I just checked several of their 757s and they are all leased from Wilmington Trust and Wells Fargo

HP never flew to NRT...we did serve NGO for a short while. We flew to HNL for about 4 years, I think. Part of that time it was operated by ATA.
