SAAB New Colors

Oh my god the Logo is backwards on the tail... tut tut so professional

Interesting ... I took that photo and did not notice that the logo was reversed until was mentioned in this thread.

I have other photos from this take-off sequence. I'll have to see if any of the other shots have a better view of the tail. (The other shots are on a different computer so it will have to wait until after work)

I know this is a little off topic but just found this very recent photo of this former Piedmont Dash 8 now with a new outfit in Hawaii and thought some of you might like the cool scheme, note the surboards on the tail !

I'm assuming that you are talking about the flag logo on the vertical tail. It is not backwards.....according to the company. This is a logo only and not intended to be a representation of the US flag. This was brought up when the first aircraft with the new livery was making it's debut.

No, no, the logo is backwards, from what it is suppose to be. Look closely at the tail, the logo is backwards, similiar to how the American Flag is suppose to be. However, the logo is not that way for the reasons you listed.

Hopefully I explained it well enough, and if not, I need some back-up.

I am not sure if you guys are kidding, but Piedmont is never going to get the 190, especially since it is a mainline bird.

And with all due respect, I know PDT is a great regional airline, but if they flew the 190, it would not be as smooth as mainline, and thus, even though there is no possibility, I hop they never get it.

Say man, seriously...... When you are at the bottom, looking at all the growth of other US feeders, with all the shiny new jets.....please man..let us continue the dream...at least til they shut us down, without notice, and put us out of our misery. No Respect. Tailwinds.

You are right. The "LOGO" on the tail and before the "US Airways" name should always have the "stylized star field" in the upper left corner. The acual Red, White and Blue US flag will be backward on the right side of the aircraft so that it appears to be flying in the wind as the aircraft is moving.
Hope that is clear!
