SICK CALLS UP BIGTIME

"not in a right state of mind to fly"???? Translation: i'm not happy with a decision so I'll just sit at home and pout. grow up.

Were the west FA's not in a right state of mind when it went DOH? Were the west employees not in a right state of midn to work when boarding went to YOH?

let me understand this. the pilots union which both west and east were the same just different "lodges" decided how to merge the seniority list without any input from the company and pilots are calling in sick and not flying since they are upset about what they did to themselves? I'm glad Doug and Scott thought up this plan to screw the unions once again. Good luck and I hope you figure out how to take it out on the union and not the company.

I think its absolutely awful what was done to the furloughed pilots. Its one thing that seniority stops in 2003 for the pilots that were furloughed on the East; its quite a different slap and yet again another concession to lose your seniority and get stapled to the bottom as if those 15 Plus years for many doesn't count while working for the exact same company. Its like their time before 2003 just stood still as if they are basically newly hired. To lose all theat seniority that most of these guys just can't make up ever...they don't have the age to do so.

There is so much labor strife that I just don't see how the company can sustain itself specifically on the East.

 Hmmm, why does this all sound vaguely familiar? xoxo? Zarah? NYPrincess? Hmmmmm...

Translation: Quit bitchn about things you have no control over.

Yeah. What you said. 🙄 🙄

.... I have been around the airlines all my life....

and that was, what, two, maybe three years? Still got a lot to learn, 'ay?

Just Remember, You Fly When I Say You Can Fly, So Your Arrogant A$$ On The Ground Is Mine. Have a nice day!

I can assure you that your "vote" will not be ignored when I have to make a decision whether to go or not. If you decide, in your arrogance, to make a donkey out of yourself, then I an certain we can always find a mech. who places their job above their ego.

 Now Now, you know it is acceptable when your own union tosses you under the bus and only becomes unacceptable when an outside party tosses you under it.

/midtitanic vent off

😛

Back on topic...I've heard sick calls are not a big deal and pilots on east are actually picking things up. Any one have any numbers? Any agents on here from East operations?
My guess is this news hasn't been heard by all yet.

DCA: only 2 cxl flts daily since Friday-Sunday due to lack of crews for Mainline

Off to the Phl airport. Got word there are alot of flights this morning due to sick calls and crew rest. Will update later on !

I can't believe you let it get to the point of going to binding arbitration thus putting putting your "lives" into the hand and pen of an arbitrator and then have the nerve to blame anyone else but yourself. #### and moan all you want but put the blame where it rightly belongs.
So Tuna Boy...
You think this is fair?

You make me laugh, try 35+ years with the Airlines. I have been through chapter 7 and 11 also Strikes and Walkouts, Slowdowns all because the Company’s caused these actions.
To read on here that A Union made Arbitration, and it did not go the way one group wanted it to go and now that group wants to take it out on company and employees just does not make common sense.
If the company had done this I would stand behind any recourse that the Pilot group made, but it was done by ALPA by ALPA group not the company or employees. 🙁
AWA has employees from all the Airlines so it’s not just a Young Airline it has experienced employees and some young ones, now to put all in the same group is wrong. As far as my arrogance, I do the job by the book and when I hand you the logbook you can go be GOD’s of the sky, when you get back to earth remember to pull your head out of the clouds and look around you are back on the ground with us.

HAVE A NICE DAY.

What shocks me is that the AAA MEC has done nothing but irresponsibly stoked it's members and filled them with empty promises. They have a moral duty to calm it's members for the safety sake of the traveling public and the crews themselves.

If you are refering to MAA, the furloughed f/as remained on involuntary furlough statis when choosing to fly MAA.

In addition, there were many Involuntarily furloughed f/as chose to "pass" an offer to fly Mid Atlantic Division because they would not work for thsoe wages and they knew because of what was negotiated that those junior folks who chose to FLY Mid Atlantic would not accrue seniority to mainline whereby effecting those who passed. It would be very disingenious for AFA to come back after the fact and under the premise that the involuntarily furloughed f/as who passed would not have their seniority effected by a MORE junior f/a who chose to fly at Mid Atlantic would accrue more seniority than those who passed by counting their years of service on to mainline....don't you think? Or don't you think????

Now having said all that...ALPA's grievance ruling is very disheartening for the East. My understanding of the issue as it was explained was that many of these 1700 involuntary furloughed East pilots had as much as 15-17 years MAINLINE seniority...only to get kicked and stapled to the bottom of ALL the AWA pilots including their new hires! Unlke Mid Atlantic who are basically all very junior to mainline f/as in the first place, BUT have NOT had their seniority effected by a merger with AWA...after all, its DOH on mainline!!!!

So, I pose the question, how has MAA seniority been negatively effected by the merger with AWA, pray tell??? Inquiring minds would like to know!
