Oftentimes, FAs like to find an interesting pax to chat with and pass the time. The key is your timing. So, the question is, what would you like a passenger to say or do for you if they truly have harmless, good intentions? Or do you just want to be left alone?
Right after the service is finished, and the FA is finally geting a chance for a 'break' is prob not a good time for a chat.
If the FA is trying to have something to eat is not a good time, either.
If its towards the end of a long duty day, the FA will prob be 'all talked out' and just want peace. I realize there's no way for you to know that, unless your opener is..."Long day?"
A good indicator af a FA who wants to chat is if they are asking YOU questions. "Do you live in (destination city)?"
or "You were busy working pretty hard (at your seat)."
Its pretty easy to tell if a pax is 'hitting' on you, even the real subtle ones, so don't worry we will think that if you have honest friendly intentions.
