Saw a FA stuff 3 vodkas into her personal carry-on before doing liquor count.

I wish I had not observed this. As a PAX I am put into an awkward position. Part of me thinks I should fill out a complaint but the other part of me really liked her and enjoyed her service.

She was not a young attendant and the "sneaky" nature of her behaviour to me implied that she was well practiced.

I'm just depressed that I saw this. I was at the right place at the right time. I know from several Internal Audit friends that "on the job stealing" is commonplace for any career whether it be food, grocery, retail....instead of complaining to corporate with a specific flight # and specifically identifying the FA I figured I would post here that stealing anything sucks.

WHETHER YOU FEEL YOU'VE PERSONALLY BEEN STOLEN FROM OR NOT BY THE "COMPANY" IS ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT

Maybe she paid for it and you did not know? If you are just a passenger, do you really know the full procedure regarding accounting for the liquor sales? I am not sure as a passenger you should report her for something you are not 100% sure of.

I don't believe the galley is stocked for employee use. Whether it is paid for or not.

You know what, give her a break. We joke about this stuff in Galley Humor, but give her a MF Break. I'm sure you have taken a pen from work before--justified or not. Why would you post such a thing?

i guess you wouldn't appreciate the beverage cart in my kitchen, then?

I don't believe she "FEELS" she has been stolen from...she KNOWS she has been stolen from by the company!

It's nothing new...judging by your "Golden Girls" icon I'd guess you're old enough to remember that one of the running gags on the "Bob Newhart Show" ('72-'78) was that Howard Borden's liquor cabinet was fully stocked with nothing but litte tiny bottles of hooch...

heretofore forever publicly known now as Heinrich the corporate stool pigeon...if you do it it won't be hard on these boards to figure out who dunnit....

After dealing with the flight, she may have felt the 3 "minis" were just compensation. just my thoughts....

You should keep your nose where it doesn't belong. There is a little unwritten rule in that the crew may enjoy a drink "on the house" and this "benefit" is not to be abused. The same as a restaurant employee enjoying a complimentary beer after their shift. Not considered stealing one bit.

Well I have not identified anything about the particular individual whatsoever. I did this on purpose. I might have even changed the sex. Realizing that this is a holiday weekend, I was flying on a weekend stayover from one city to another and not even crossing through my hometown.

So that's about as vague as it can get. No one has been identified or can be in any way.

While I wasn't expecting a toasty reception, I was feeling awkward about what I had witnessed and decided that an extremely vague posting here would remind folks not to put a passenger in this awkward position.

Of course, sitting here this morning, I wonder if it's the best decision to make but it's done.

You could have stayed out of it all together. If your sensibilities were offended and you felt the need to get involved, why write a complaint letter? Why not confront her/him directly and say all that you said here? Give her a chance to respond. Since you may not know all the details, why write anything: to the company or on this board?

also...

HOLIER THAN THOU, SELF-RIGHTEOUS BUSY-BODY.

I've been kicking around this idea for kicks and grins.... it's called 'a day on the internet without unnecessary outrage.' Hey, just think about it, if you like.

Wouldn't it be weird?
