Ted Cruz Announces

One who didn't seem to learn about the constitution was the chief birther who is leading in the GOP polls.

Who filed a lawsuit challenging that?  I heard that today.

Looked it up.

A consummate wacko.

Florida Rep. Alan Grayson (D) tells The Hill that he will file a lawsuit contesting Sen. Ted Cruz’s (Fla.) U.S. citizenship if the Texan wins the GOP's presidential nomination.

Grayson says Cruz’s citizenship is a “legitimate issue.” Cruz was born in Canada to a Cuban father and American mother.
Watch the video above to hear Grayson in his own words.

Idiots come in all ideologies.  But don't forget that the current GOP front runner was so certain that Obama wasn't constitutionally qualified to be president because he couldn't prove he was born in Hawaii.    And apparently he didn't learn anything after his Obama birth certificate hunt   I can't stand Trump or Cruz, but that "issue" won't be tied up in courts for years....it would be dismissed with the highlighted part that if one birth parent is an American citizen, they are good to go.  Before anybody filed a suit, they should spend a little money proving that his mother renounced her American citizenship prior to Ted's birth.  Without that, it takes most courts just a couple of seconds to say "case dismissed".

She'd still be an American by birth.

Besides, official approved for liberal truth serum Snopes says he's good to go.

Exactly right.  Cruz's mother was born in Delaware, so he is eligible to be president by virtue of that fact.  Obama's mother was born in America's heartland....Wichita, Kansas.  So how come so many claimed that HE was ineligible to be president unless he provided the long form birth certificate of his birth in Hawaii?  Because that little thing that makes Cruz eligible to be president also applied to Obama - his mother was an American citizen.  So even if Obama "fessed up" and provided a Kenyan birth certificate - he was still eligible to be president.  Just as Cruz is when providing a Canadian birth certificate. But we still had a couple of years there where the GOP frontrunner was demanding to see the "long form" of his birth certificate...and today he is "concerned" that Cruz being born in Canada could prove harmful to the GOP.  I mean...it's right there in black and white.

You were singing a different tune when it came to Obama.

Before I answer this I will qualify it by saying, the whole birther thing, is stupid.

That answer to why Obama needed to prove he was born in Hawaii is simply this:
"If only one parent was a citizen at the time of birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16" .
Obamas mother was only 18, she would have had to be at least 21, then Obama could have been born in Mecca or anywhere and it wouldn't matter.

There, my last post ever on the subject, because in this instance and in Cruz' it's just stooopid.

The discussion of ideas is time better spent, because today's liberals will lose any substantive discussion of ideas.

Because of the fact that there are people who probably won't vote for Cruz solely based on that premise, just like the Hillary camp played it.
Your 'no information voter' if you will. You ever see some of those on the street political interviews with people on Fox and a couple net sources? A sizable portion of the voting block are incredibly ill informed and quite stupid. That's an advantage for a politician and why they spread misinformation so much and so well. Alinsky101.

Until I took an online course from Hillsdale College.  Of course you wouldn't know when that was or when the BC issue became "fun".
