Carter was the most outwardly religious POTUS, I just don't don't recall any outrage from the left about that.
And btw, Carters religiousness wasn't the reason he was the most failed POTUS until the present one, it was because he was weak on foreign policy, very weak.

Further, I've compared Cruz to Reagan, there are many similarities to their ideas.
Some have said here, Reagan wasn't religious , but they make a mistake if they don't think it was a part of his campaigns.
Jerry Falwell Sr started the Moral Majority for the express purpose of supporting Reagan.

It puts into context his ideas on defeating ISIS, it goes into detail about the history of the Middle East and the mistakes that have been made as well as the correct action that were taken.

 
I have an idea that ISIS, much like the US voter, watches only the sound bites they hear.  Play "carpet bomb" and "make sand glow" clips to the people over there, and you've got yourself a mess.   Add to the fact that it was a fundamentalist Christian who said them, and you've got the Crusades all over again.  Just a couple more reasons that electing Ted Cruz would be the worst thing that could happen to THIS country.

You know that “TrusTed” logo?   The one with TRUS and TED merged, yet separated via different colors?  
 
Turns out that when you Google “TRUS”, the logo at once becomes hilarious and hilariously appropriate:

Not quite.  Indeed, Carter was by far the most truly "Christian" president we ever had....but outside of occasionally conducting a Sunday School class, he kept his religion out of running the country.  That's why there was no outcry from the lefty liberals.  Same thing with Kennedy....many felt that with a Catholic in the presidency, the country would be taking orders from the vatican.  Didn't happen. 
 
If you'll recall...the "moral majority" sided with Ronald Reagan....NOT the most Christian president we have ever known...in part because they WANTED a president who would let his religion guide his presidency.   They've been voting republican ever since, but abortion is still legal, you still can't pray in schools, gays can get married, and we still can't put nativity scenes on the courthouse lawn.   FWIW...REagan never put God first.  He just used God to pander to the Christian right. 
 
But Cruz has said that it's God, Family, Country...in that order. IMHO, Jimmy Carter put God first in his life - but realized that he was leading a diverse country where some Christians (evangelicals) did not recognize other Christians (Catholics) as being "true Christians".  Kind of like Sunni and Shiite.

News flash. The reason ISIS exists is because we were there in the first place. Do you also realize that there's bad s&%t going on all over the world. Where exactly to you draw the line on where to send in the military? Because if you were to get involved in every conflict you would need to quadruple the size of the military and bring back the draft. You would probably bankrupt the country in the process.

P.S. If you feel that strongly about it you can always volunteer to fight with the Kurds.
