There it is. That dismissive arrogant attitude. To you $50 is a couple drinks on an over night. To a ramper or F/A taking home $1000 a month. $50 is a big deal. You and the east pilots should try looking at the world from someone else's point of view once in awhile.

Are you claiming credit for causing the hiring? Will you also claim credit for their furlough when the judge places the injunction and you boys have to straighten up and fly right? You know the IAM might be unhappy with you east boys for mouthing off in the paper about the level of mechanical ethics they have. Accusing someone of pencil whipping a problem or signing off something they know is not safe. Bad form gentlemen. Causing the MX a bunch of work, PAX service and gate agents headaches for delayed or cancelled flights, Rampers having to run to get bags from a late flight. First, I didn't run any ad. The idiots that run the union did that. It accomplished NOTHING positive for the pilot group. BUT, that being said, I support those pilots that write up maintenance deficiences when and where they happen. I support them for sticking to the FOM, the FARs and the contract. I support them for doing their jobs 100% and I don't blame them one bit for not doing 101%. So the judge is going to issue an injunction telling pilots to stop writing up broken airplanes??? I can't wait to see that.

Secondly, I haven't felt the love from other groups in this company for quite some time.

I have to keep reminding myself of that. Most of the west pilots that I know personally are great guys, even if we disagree on a couple of little things. Anyone that relies on this board to figure west guys out is out of luck. 9 out of 10 on here are 5%ers. Thanks for being a number10 and not one of the 9!

The hiring is good news although a bit late. The planes were not ready for the summer t/a schedule change. It is typical on the 76 to get a list of up to 10 items from the f/a's before landing. If you had the same airplane the week before more than likely it is almost the same items even though you have different f/a's. The airplanes aren't getting any younger so they need more TLC. It is pretty sad that on one flight the pax cant hear the movie (no audio) or read (no reading lights, half of the chillers aren't working and at least 1 oven inop. Gotta love our pax because they keep coming back for more.

Very simply.....the company did not have the fleet ready for the increase in summer flying. No discredit to the mechanics, they do the best job they can do with time and parts and equipment they have to work with. I have nothing but respect for the mechanics who work here.

Don't mind a profit, the ONLY reason there is one is because to the east wages, This incompetent management could not run an airline at industry standard wages. We are getting tired of subsidizing the west operation.
