Temporary Injunction against USAPA filed today

Very simply.....the company did not have the fleet ready for the increase in summer flying. No discredit to the mechanics, they do the best job they can do with time and parts and equipment they have to work with. I have nothing but respect for the mechanics who work here.

Bob

My understanding is they are shutting down Lake Charles and bringing the A330-200 maintenance to CLT. This is great news and I know the airplanes will be in much better shape doing them in house.

The 737 fleet is falling apart... Multiple MEL's..... stuff every day.

Sorry Luv, but only reason that we have listen to you incessant whining about your wages is because YOU and the rest of the USAPA supporters WALKED AWAY from 27 COMPLETED contract sections FOUR YEARS AGO. You are here because your actions brought you here.

yeah and those 27 sections were to ALPA standards.. No thianks

So based on your staunch position, may I assume that you took the time to read those closed sections?.....or are you allowing USAPA kool aid to spew out your pie hole (again)....

Well I can tell you that I recently worked a Trans Atlantic trip on the A330-300 where the International Relief Officer (IRO) was putting up a stink because the magnet that keeps the cockpit door in the open position was not there and replaced with velcro. Which was an ok fix according to the MEL. Both the Captain and First Officer were ok with the fix except for him. He stated that it was an FAA issue and that it needed to be replaced with a new Magnet or the airplane should not go and if it was not replaced he was not comfortable taking the aircraft. Clearly this was him just trying to screw the company . It was one of those things where you say "How far do you really want to take this?" .Either way the whole thing lasted until 9:45 pm when the Captain simply asked told the IRO that if he wasn't happy then he could be replaced with a reserve IRO. The IRO got off and we got a replacement who told me he had been burned by this guy 6 times before . The flight was scheduled to depart PHL at 6:35 pm .We took off at 11:30 pm. All for a magnet . I understand our pilots are fighting for a cause and I respect that . But things like this just simply makes me wonder. The guy got off and went home while we had to work this International trip tired as hell. Not to mention the passengers who were really pissed . The Valerie Wells issue is one thing but a f'ng magnet ?? You guys gotta learn how to pick your battles in my opinion .

Captain. You're actually admitting that you went ahead and took the flight "tired as hell?"
You should have called yourself off the trip...and your not so smart F/O.

Busdriver, you will run over Toganoflex like something on the LIE. Just a little bump in the road on the way to something better. The Franke Air crew is running scared now. They are starting to figure out they will never have the numbers to get a contract when they want one. My nephew came into the Eastern division through Piedmont and then Mid Atlantic. 38 yrs old, and wants NOTHING to do with Western division. NOTHING. The more Eastern hires, the more Western is done. One for one, they take eastern jobs, so they vote the same. No Western issues, no support. Why bring the mess of the western east. Let them die on the vine. Greed is good? They are the Gordon Geckos of the world. They reap what they sow. They will never get a contract, because they serve the master, and then the master of the west will then turn on them. They get what they deserve. The young hired East have seen the colors of the west. They want nothing to do with them.

I cannot believe you are back for more, well I am happy to oblige.

First tell your nephew welcome.

Please ask him if he interviewed and trained in PHX. Then ask him if he intends to steal another pilots job like his scab uncle.

He didn't say he was fatigued he said he was tired.

ALPA gave you the best contract you ever had, or will have.

ALPA didn't "give" us anything. We got the best contracts we ever had through a combination of a healthy company, economy and good negotiating. I've always thought ALPA was given too much credit and blame for what went on here. Most of the credit/blame goes on our own pilot's shoulders.

I could be wrong, but I took it that etops1 was a F/A witnessing the event, not the captain.

You are entirely correct. I should have said that you got your best contract during ALPA's tenure. It's a shame that USAPA couldn't negotiate a good contract during USAirway's recent run of record profits.
