Temporary Injunction against USAPA filed today

yeah but it's not as professional... You know the clean polished look not the Kettle's LCC?

which one do you want? ... oh yeah..
asked and answered.

WAIT!

Professional and US Airways in the same sentence? How did that happen? Momentary lapse of judgement?

I don't think Scott Kirby can spell professional much less be one.

Yes, NOYELLOWNECK, I am afraid to work... inside a metal tube full of TCPs that are being leached into the airsystems, afraid to work inside a plane that has maintenence done by outsourced, inexperienced people who still cant fix A/C 246, afraid to work for a company who doesn't care about the health, welfare, and morale of its customers and employees, one that jerked off all the video equipment, power ports, ovens, closets, oh you know, ANY AMENITY IT COULD to shove a few more bodies inside the plane for a few more e-saver fares.

Darlin, I'm not afraid to do my job. I'm afraid of what's going to happen when we are released into a colling off period and people start booking away because our work group has had enough, and the rants and raves of people like you only add fuel to our fire, and we CAN'T WAIT for Chaos.

Kisses,

Flygirl
How long do you think it will take before you are released and do you think you will be released before or after the pilots?
And you do understand that when you CHAOS that you are actually terminated, correct? Your union then works to get your job back when you come to terms with the company.

Not sure but our amendable date is forthcoming and the company's proposal has been a laughable piece of junk thus far. We know how Chaos works and the consequences of what happens if you are one who is a Chaoser - we hope it doesn't come to that, but we are prepared and beyond ready for a contract.

You seriously think you are going to get a cooling off period? Boy what fantasy land do you live in?

Hasn't the west FA group been amendable for a while now? And when was the last time a major was released? Personally, I think you've got 3-4 years before you're even to a point where you might get released and honestly I think you'll be parked for a while before that. If you're counting on a release soon after your amendable date then I'd ask your reps for clarification.

TCP??????????????? Wow we should have all kicked the bucket by now ....If you are serious and are concerned about your health I would quit especially since radiation is FAR more dangerous to you than the so called TCP LOL

Ah, you again - managememt's delight.
Remember AMW 99?
Remember US00?

One of the members on the national board is a former AFA president, and our mediator is a former airline captain. I don't know if we are going to get a cooling off period but it's going to be a cold day in hell if we don't get a contract soon.

Keep up the employee hating, Malike.

Without going over the entire process in a thread that isn't for flight attendants and going on and on about section six for east and section six for west, we, and the pilots, are the ONLY two labor groups that have yet to get a joint contract, and management wants to tout that they are giving us 30 million in improvements. What they fail to tell you is that it's only to bring the west to east parity. What they fail to tell you is they want huge health care cuts, no vacation and sick improvements from the already gutted bankruptcy contract, and to take full on ownership of the reserves by giving scheduling carte blanche control. It goes on and on, but the only raise the east was offered is the 3% raise that they are going to get already in January 2012, which is a huge paycut from the 2000 contract.

No concessions. We're through, and we're fed up. There is a food bank for our flight attendants. A food bank for God's sake, and many collect public assistance for food and housing.

I cannot for the life of me understand why any other person in any other labor group would not support a fellow labor group on property. If one group gains, everyone is stronger at the bargaining table.

I think OSHA protections should be afforded all employees, and you, too, are being blocked by me now. Moron

You might want to thank Cleary when you get an injunction slapped on you right after the first text message is leaked to mgt.

Our work actions will occur when and if we are released into cooling off. At that point, CHAOS is a perfectly legal work action that will have impacted the airline before the first flight attendant even walks off the plane, so, no, friend, there will be no injunctions. The bookings away will have been happening when the press puts out that there is a forthcoming strike vote.

Anyway, none of us want this. We want a contract. Not your first born. Not your big ass bonus. Not your job. Not your seniority. Not your house. A contract. Like every other employee group around here has gotten.

With that I'm done for now. Sick of seeing ignorant posts from people who act like infants and cowards behind an anonymous screen name. Enjoy your Kool-Aid!

One thing to keep in mind...

Even if both contracts were beyond their amendable dates, those contracts aren't technically being renegotiated. What is being negotiated is a contract covering both East and West FA's (and the same with the pilots) - something that never existed before. Since such a contract never existed before what is the amendable date on a combined contract?

Off the top of my head I can't think of any pilot group that was released to seek self help while negotiating the first combined contract following a merger. Maybe someone else knows of such a case but I don't.

A perfectly civil response and you call him a moron? Are you threatened by his response? Why do your posts become defense? Are we all kool-aid drinkers if we don't see you POV?
Maybe you need some time in the cornfield

You certainly don't have to see my POV but his posts have been and continue to be anti-work group, and, day after day we have crews and customers going to the hosiptal with real life documented cases of poor cabin air, yet he wants to make light of a situation that he, personally, has never experienced. He sure seems like a kool aid drinker, and that's my pov even if it's not yours.

Have a good night.

Dear Members,

In Memory of Hazel Bennett

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the loss of one of our members, CLT-based Hazel Bennett. Hazel started with US Airways in 1989 and during her time with the company earned the respect and friendship of those she flew with. She died unexpectedly on March 10 after a respiratory illness.

We know that Hazel and her crew were exposed to oil fumes on August 29, 2010 which made her very sick and sent her to hospital upon arrival. It is not clear to what degree that fumes exposure contributed to her ill health. We are in contact with her family to learn more but want to be respectful of their need for privacy at this time. When we learn more, we will inform you because we know that so many of you knew and loved Hazel, and are searching for answers at this time. We grieve the loss of Hazel and continue to fight for the living to ensure measures to prevent exposure to oil fumes on our aircraft at US Airways and throughout the industry.

In solidarity and with condolences-

The US Airways Master Executive Council
AFA-CWA

Jim, you beat me to a point I wanted to make in your last paragraph. You are correct in that no one has ever been released when two unions have merged.
