What's new

Temporary Injunction against USAPA filed today

Part of my point was what time of day did they go through the hubs. Maint Control often authorizes a MEL during the day if a delay will occur because of fixing something. Depending on the MEL time limit, of course, they'll then either re-route the plane to overnight at a maintenance station or let it get fixed on it's next scheduled overnight maintenance check which could be days later (or maybe even weeks later, again depending on the MEL time limits). That hadn't changed when I retired so it's nothing new.

Jim
gosh your so darn smart. we need you to come back and teach us how it was done.

Yes, the difference for you is apparently whether we're talking about pre or post May 1st. The problem for you and your fellow USAPAians is that it's the same maintenance now as it has always been. Nobody is buying your BS.

The West's irrational hatred for the East could lead you to boycott your own mother's Thanksgiving table if she equivocated on her own personal hatred of USAPA.

The point I am trying to make is how much money is being pissed away and how many delays are being taken for these repeated writeups of the same discrepancy? We know they track them and can see how many occurances in near real time. The radio issue for one, they are modular, either in the E and E bay or the radio head. The problem should have been a snap to remedy at any of the maint hubs with parts on hand. Why not just fix the thing and get rid of the next 5 write ups and corosponding maint calls?

Well, your example of the TR shouldn't be a repeat write up after it was MELed so I assume you're talking about multiple write-ups of items that work fine when the mechanic shows up. Those are something of a nightmare for maintenance. Replace a box/head in a working system (when they see it) and it gets written up again. As far as I know, the box/head removed gets label as inoperative and sent for repairs when it was apparently ok all along since changing it didn't fix the problem. Aside from just the box/head there's other factors that could be at play - wiring (as the electrical system instructor used to say at PI, "the only thing on an airplane that never gets changed is the wiring"), connections, vibration in flight that isn't present on the ground, etc. Would I be surprised if US, which isn't really flush with cash despite the spin from Tempe, wanted to reduce the amount of "keep plugging in parts till you fix it" to a minimum? Not at all.

hmmm...

Irrational? Seriously?

No doubt some find it telling that the idea of "irrational" got more of a rise than the notion that your loyalty to your mother might depend on her personal hatred of USAPA. 😉

Exactly! If they want to operate like that fine, just stay off my back when I do what I am required to do and write it up when it fails again!

Hmm, It appears there may be a difference between sides on the meaning of "top notch" 🙂

that's for sure , when the first option from MX is to bring out a sticker that is BS.. NO thought , no inspection.. just sticker it and move on.

who should be ashamed?

While I don't "hate" the East, there is NOTHING irrational about frivolous persecution of 18(24+) AWA pilots w/ RICO charges, exclusion from key committee leadership positions, others being "fired" from committee participation, multiple attempted terminations for failure to pay union dues (IF ALPA has done this EVER, I would be surprised...Heck even Mike Cleary owes them money!), the attempts to circumvent an agreed upon process for seniority thereby causing additional legal expenses, etc.

If my mother were still alive and USAPA was one of her children, USAPA would have a big case of Red-A$$ and would find it VERY difficult to sit comfortably ANYWHERE, let alone the Thanksgiving table. What would your Mama do?

... and the next story you're going to tell us is how much you loved ALPA

We keep hearing over and over that the lawsuit was dismissed WITH PREJUDICE. ("WITH PREJUDICE" is always, always, always capitalized, BTW, when we see it.)

So then, if it was indeed dismissed WITH PREJUDICE, why do you keep bringing it up? It's dead (dismissed WITH PREJUDICE,) or not. Make up your minds.

You are too busy bashing me on a perceived political affiliation to see what I am saying.
Kerosene, you are dealing with Koontz. One of the Leonisdas dudes who blew their money. You would be on perpetual rag too if you had to explain how you spent 2 million on an unripe case!

Too bad she didn't know how to keep her mouth shut.

Right.just what they wanted her to do. Going to CNN next I hear. This thing gets worse by the minute. Why the hell did Parker let Glass talk him into this? This guy is toast. Somebody really is going to get their crank stepped on for bringing Glass back. Jerries kids headed for CNN prime time!
