USAPA came well after the ALPA debacle. While I am not surprised you try to conflate their machinations with USAPA, I am somewhat disappointed.

He is simply pointing out that your shallow view was inconsistent with a longer, historical view. In truth, the merger committee initially went in with their eyes and ears open. They came back with the slotting bs and we then said DOH.

I really appreciate your ability to research. In this case I believe you are wrong.

Which is what I said - the East MC was forced in a DOH or nothing stance.

BTW, I worked pretty closely with Kirsch - the MC was present at every bid closing for 8-10 years after the US/PI merger. He even had me take his place when he couldn't be in PIT for a conference with the other side's MC over how to implement a C&R.

I didn't revise or edit. I quoted (precisely) what I considered to be the pertinent part. Did you or did you not say that the MEC decided to go into arb with their best case? Oh, look - I believe you did. How convenient to "forget" what happened after "the merger committee was given free rein" and "The MEC then decided to go into arb. with their best case." "Minor" details like DOH petitions, recall threats, and an MEC resolution forcing the MC to seek DOH in negotiations slip your mind? One can certainly revise history by leaving out a few pertinent events....
