The UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT

If you're paying for it, you can go anywhere you want to.

If you're not paying for it, take a number, and wait for your name to be called. It's not your money, so what makes you think you get to decide where it is spent?...

Oh, and I know this will make your blood boil, but the best cancer hospital in the world is in..... T E X A S.

MD Anderson is ranked #1 by physicians...

http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/rankings

If it's good enough for Herb, I'm sure it is probably good enough for you, assuming they're in your plan and you can get a referral from the health care rationing board...

I do find it a bit humorous that two of the three top ranked psychiatric hospitals are in Boston... Coincidence, Bears??... 😉

Eric...."OUCH" !!!!! 😀

Yes I recognise MD A has been rated by US News as # 1 over M S K who is ranked 2 these last couple of years.

M S K has done nothing but strictly cancer issues for a long long time.

It's a good bet that if M S K couldn't save you, MD A couldn't either/ and vice versa.

And yes Mc LEAN hospital in MITT's home town of Belmont Ma. is perhaps no. 1 or 2, per US News.
As a cabbie EONS ago, I drove by the place. Lots of Harvard docs. working there.

That's not nice, don't be mean, you shouldn't do that. 😀

No problem Sparrow, seriously.

My beloved fellow "cooler" posters(yourself, dell and eolesen)(plus yours truely) keep me sharp and on my toes.

Ever North needs a South.
Every East needs a West.

Capice ! !

Eleana drop a dime??

Little bird tell him or what?

Why am I NOW thinking of that scene.....in a FEW GOOD MEN(jack nicholson), where Demi Moore says to Tom Cruise,..........."how are you gonna' get Col. Jessup to SAY he Ordered the CODE RED" ?
As you'll recall,.....Cruise says,......"I'm gonna' LEAD Them R I G H T....to where they WANT To GO" !! 🙄

(Think campaign ads leading up to the General Election)

Kinda funny Rocky Obama crying yesterday about the con vote at SCOTUS.
Have to say though, about his speed.

Look into medical tourism.

If a company is paying $5000 for insurance then they will not get fined. If they do not pay for insurance then the $2,000 will be more than they are currently paying. If they want to reduce their plan from $5,000 to $2,000 there is nothing preventing them from doing so regardless of the law.

Those were just round numbers Tree. What I'm implying is if it's cheaper for company's to pay Nobama's fine vs. paying for employee healthcare, they will opt for NobamaCare , then my fellow employee Obamanites can stand in line with everyone else !

Report: Federal judge hits back at Obama

By JENNIFER HABERKORN | 4/3/12 6:00 PM EDT

Think the federal judiciary is taking kindly to President Barack Obama’s pre-emptive attack on the Supreme Court? Think again.

A federal appellate judge in Texas on Tuesday demanded that Attorney General Eric Holder write a three-page, single-spaced memo by midday Thursday explaining why the federal judiciary can strike down federal laws on constitutional grounds, according to a lawyer who was in the courtroom.

The request — from 5th Circuit Judge Jerry E. Smith, a Ronald Reagan-appointee — seemed to be a direct shot at Obama, who said Monday that the Supreme Court would be guilty of an “unprecedented” act of “judicial activism” if it strikes down the health care reform law.

Smith made the request during oral argument on a case involving physician-owned hospitals according to a press release from Physician Hospitals of America. The arguments Tuesday were over whether the health care reform law’s limitations on new or expanded physician-owned hospitals are constitutional. Physician Hospitals of America and Texas Spine & Joint Hospital filed the lawsuit in 2010. Most of the lawsuits against the health care reform law are on hold pending the Supreme Court’s decision on the constitutionality of the individual mandate, but this case was allowed to move forward because it covers a different piece of the health care law.

A lawyer who was in the courtroom said the request came before a Justice Department attorney could begin her argument in the case.

The Justice Department did not respond to a request for comment.

You just have to love the wisdom of our Founding Fathers making judicial appointment for life. I'm guessing miss impartiality Justice Kagan gave The Empty Suit a heads up that things didn't look good. Because he sure in running around lashing out like he got his pecker caught in his zipper. He's had about 10 days in a row where it wasn't a good day to be him.

Obama eases rhetoric about Supreme Court on health care

I have to ask, who the hell does he have writing his speeches where he has to backtrack all of the time?

Whoa, Barack...last thing you want to do is Jackoff the SCOTUS 😱

The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,The point I was making,

Isn't like the first Commandment of the Legal profession,

"Thou Shalt not piss off the Judge"?

he's acting like a guy who's feeling the heat and afraid of getting fired. The money isn't rolling in like 2008 and the base isn't energized. Plus the more he panders to his Left Wing base he further alienates moderates.

However he is a skilled orator, near Reaganesque in that regard, However his snotty arrogance undoes him. That "I'm the smartest guy in the room so I talk down to everyone" approach may play in Chicago but not with me.

Personally I'd like to see about 20,000 people surround the White House when he's moving, singing Na Na Na hey hey hey Goodvbye or chanting:

Here's to Obama
He's gotta lotta class
Here's to Obama
He's a horse's ass!

If he loses I'd love to see this headline:

Obama Receives 100,000 letters offering to help him pack and move

I understand that but I still don't think it makes any sense regardless of the math. There is nothing requiring a company to provide healthcare right now. If they wanted to provide a cheaper plan then can do so. With universal health care all companies over a certain size will be required to proved insurance. A company that was doing so before has no reason to dump the plan they have. They could have done so before and did not. There are very cheap plans being offered by various companies. My plan with my company is far better than my wifes who is a nurse (go figure). My company could offer a much cheaper (for them) plan if they wanted to regardless of the universal health care plan.

The SCOTUS decision will likely be a 5/4 split. It will likely be a partisan vote. Either way it goes it does not give a lot of credibility to the SCOTUS in my opinion. I also see any vote not going well for the republicans. If it is 5/4 for the universal health care then Obama can rub it in their faces. If is 5/4 against the plan then Obama can say, hey I tried. Blame the republicans and ask them to fix it. Should be an interesting year.

Tree,

I use to think Scalia and (uncle) Thomas were the two worst bas-tards on the SCOTUS, But my man, that Phoney P...rick Chief Justice Roberts is the worst Phoney.
Having said that, If Roberts Knows one of the REPUGS (say) Kennedy is going over to the "girls" + breyer, Roberts the Phoney WILL want to be on the "right side" of things, therefore a 6-3 vote.

Watch and see !

Yeah, Bears and I are probably on each other's "most likely to share adult beverages with" list....

Sorry E, I really love to do that, but alas I'm a recovering Alkie since 1989.
Now a Mr PIBB, or better still a MOXIE(if I can find it).........................................
(you SKANDI'S really do love your BIER though) 😛 😛

Politicians and judges can't fix a toaster much less a health care system. left alone with the government taking up a smaller footprint and balancing the budget and an unfettered free market will sort it out.

You'll know when healthcare is fixed when you have Hospitals publishing their prices on their web site. BTW, the Cato institute has done a report on the law and it ain't a pretty picture from a cost stand point. www/cato.otg.

As an example take the LASIK surgery. When it first stated it was like $7000 and now it's 700. Why because the Government set prices like Obama Care? NO, because of a free market.

How many people can afford to put 20K into an MSA?

I don't know. What I do know is after reading the report I'm more convinced that this law is so flawed it could collapse the entire economy & the Healthcare system along with it.
