I am a UA F/A and looking to get out as soon as I can. UA is not a pleasant or stable environment to work in anymore. Morale is in the toilet, the company hates the employees, the employees hate the company, and the union only adds to the tension. New hire F/A's only make $16,000 a year and it takes 20 years to have any amount of seniority. Sure there is int'l flying to be had in DC but the elderly F/A's there treat the poor new hires terribly. You will be juniored into the worst positions and then ridiculed for not performing to the standards of the senior F/A's. Give it some serious thought. I'd hate to see you go through the misery of UA's 8 week unpaid training to come out making $16k a year, be treated badly and find you are beyond miserable. I personally am pursuing CAL or SWA.
