They are the only airline that seems to have their #### together...and I never hear ANYONE that works there complain. I fly them alot too since US Airways sucks so bad employees won't even fly them for FREE!!!!!

I know your asking a sincere question, so just know that my answer/suggestion is sincere also.

I STRONGLY believe that UAL/Tilton.....and LCC/Parker have met(and I'm betting that they are STILL meeting) over a "couple of COLD ONES", with regard to a M/A.

And "if" I'm correct, if LCC was the survivor(YES, I KNOW, AS UNLIKELY AS THAT SEEMS), you(comeflywithme) would be "back to square one" !!

This business will never again be what it used to be.It's a better bet to get out while you only have three years invested,go back to school,explore something different.

Don't do it.

Buy a Star Alliance Around the World ticket, take a year off and do contract work as you go around the world. Get it out of your system and go back to school to learn something worthwhile...

or you could just devote your life to a drug habit.

You'll get nearly the same result as working for an airline...just faster.

I know a few US (original, non-trailer) F/As that started over at US, CO, wherever... it was hard for them to bite the bullet and start over, but they still have thier US seniority number for a merger. With upcoming consolidation there's going to be alot of furloughs, would not want to be a new hire anywhere.

United has a personal ad out for a marriage partner. Until such time as you know who they are going to (if they actually do) hook up with, the future of a new hire would be in limbo.

If United is your first choice, I would wait it out and see what direction the company decides to go in before making a move.

True story about Southwest:

An f/a who wanted to fly internationally at the time of UA's glory days left SW and joined the friendly skies. About one year into the job, 9/11 happened and she was placed on furlough. She reapplied at SW.

Guess what? Instead of getting the boot, they took her back and gave her the same seniority she had before she left. Now that's what I call building loyalty.

You can bet that she will never leave SW again.

Hey, thanks! I'm an original USAir employee. Just pray to God that should a merger go thru, which I hope for UA sake it does not, Parker is not the CEO. He and his boys in Tempe were born and raised in a trailer park and it shows. Everything done on the cheap, service levels in the toilet, hiring from the ghetto. We were praying the DL thing didn't go thru either, as we did not want him to destroy them too! Good Luck To All Of Us!
