I failed to see, despite McCains/Palins good convention showings, what they are going to do, to get the US OUT of the mess it's in. It's a Very Hard Sell, for Mccain to preach a "different approach", when his voting record with Bush has them both "joined at the hip" !!
(You KNOW the bush/McCain "hugging" pictures, coupled with McCains FACTUAL pro bush votes will be coming "to a TV screen near you" !
So, hold unto your hats, the next 8 1/2 weeks should be a "doozy" !!

Whats the plan when you pass the business on to your heirs and they have to sell to cover the inheritance tax or you sell off for retirement and give all to capital gains?

Then there is the other scenario...I am the CEO of a fortune 500 company making a $5 million dollar annual salary and my company is raking in profits (although my headquarters is in Bermuda so I don't have to pay any taxes on those profits). McSame is elected, corporate tax cuts (for remaining American operations) are cut, and you as CEO cut 10,000 jobs and send them to a third world country, reducing labor costs by millions AND the added benefit of a further reduced tax rate because your new manufacturing location is not subject to US taxes. Oh yes....I almost forgot...because as a fortune 500 CEO and my bonus is based on stock performance, I also raise my prices.

But I agree...it is wrong for Obama to want to raise taxes on the "lower middle class" because according to McSame, middle class is someone who makes less than $5 million per year.

From what I understand it falls on your heart of America....small businesses left to families.

That was pretty funny, Tug. I assume you saw McCain's speech last night. Did you notice how many times McCain said "Change"? Obama doesn't have a monopoly on that phrase anymore... McCain appears to be trying to fashion himself as a bringer of change. Despite him grasping for the mantle of change, I appreciated his comments regarding small government (that would be a welcomed "change" from the past 8 years).

Odd...I asked myself the same question about McSame....he was against the Bush tax cuts until he was for keeping them....he was against torture because we are better than that, until he supported torture as long it was the "good guys" doing it. He was against drilling for oil until he was for it, he was for the bills he sponsored until he was against them. Kinda makes your head spin.

Has nothing to do with lighting up. That little lie being passed around as fact irritates me.

It does bother me that candidates think they can ignore their job while campaigning. I always felt that if a person is a civil cervent, they should have to resign their post prior to initiating a campaign.

Funny how that "freedom" guy has not mentioned that.
