I think AA could do good on TWA s chance to maker ATL work. Any thoughts?

Isn't AitTran big there? That is also Detla's main hub.

My thoughts are that AA has enough hubs. Do you remember when AA opened RDU and BNA as hubs? So close together?

I think after Eastern Airlines went under, AA should have moved big into Atlanta as it was there main hub outside of Miami. That would have been a more strategic move that spending a fortune building RDU and BNA.

BNA and RDU were built up in 1987, peaking in 1990. EAL didn't go under until 1991, and by then, aircraft were being pulled from BNA and RDU to fund the MIA hub.

Had AA done so, it might have slowed down Valujet, but I don't think that AA would have done well in the Widget's shadow.
