I believe that Hopeful is an AA aircraft mechanic and vigorously opposes the TWAers' efforts with regards to seniority. He is referring to a lawsuit initiated by ex-TWA mechanics and related/ramp. This has nothing to do with F/As.

The TWA F/As have two lawsuits in progress against AA/APFA. The courts have never ruled on the merits of their case as the Judge has held that they could not sue in Federal Court, only under the Railway Labor Act. Shut your pie hole is a rather obnoxious, nasty reply to those seeking to correct an injustice.

BOB, I am an aircraft mechanic for AA.

All I am doing is giving info on an ongoing lawsuit by TWA employees.

How can you call stealing someone elses job just? I know I know, you will claim that the TWA F/A's would have been satsified to just stay in STL. But you would be wrong! Why? For proof just look at the ex-TWA ramp and mechanics. The arbitrator ruled in binding arbitration that they keep their seniority in their bases resulting in ALL AA employees being kicked out. But as their many lawsuits and grievances have clearly proven, they are not content with just their bases; they want ours too. Their philosophy is "what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine." This is also evident with how they support Kasher's ruling when a TWAer goes to STL and MCI from another station resulting in their TWA seniority being fully restored but they denounce it when they go from STL or MCI to another city resulting in a seniority of 25% or 4/10/01. THE TWA FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WOULD HAVE BEEN NO DIFFERENT. APFA DID IT THE RIGHT WAY. The TWA pilots took their case for their seniority all the way to the US supreme court and lost. The TWA non-union people lost their case in court. And if justice prevails, the TWA F/As and the TWA ramp and mechanics will lose again as well. The TWAers have always "wanted it all".

Interesting perspective, especially coming from someone who presumably still has a job... to say that the TWAers "wanted it all" may be somewhat true, but in the end they got nothing. And something tells me you couldn't care less about that. What would you know about justice? You only have the perspective from the green side of the grass.

Yes, they "wanted it all" at our expense and they would have had absolutely no problems throwing us out of our airline and taking our jobs; they would not have cared at all about us. In fact, I have worked with origional AA employees who have been bumped out by TWAers and they told me that the TWAers openly gloated about the fact that they were "screwing the nAAtives". The bottom line is it was either us or them.

In addition, they did not end up totally with nothing. They still have STL and MCI even though they are a third the size. There are still about 4,000 to 5,000 of them still at AA.

How many would you say is at AA? STL to go all eagle? Possibly but highly unlikely. They may cut more in the future especially if one of the connection carriers tries to do an Independence Air routine.
