We had our CBA abrogated in the second Bankruptcy, I was there, lived it and got the t-shirt to prove it.

So what did the t-shirt say? "I lost everything in bankruptcy, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" 😉

Bob was talking general strike back then, and the unions were talking tough with t-shirts. I like Bob's view better. 😀

We didnt cave on our pension, we still had our pension intact after bankruptcy I, in bankruptcy II, our CBA was abrogated and Judge Mitchell along with the PBGC distressed terminated our pension. We didnt give it away.

And we not reaching a CBA in part II, and having an abrogation was a fight.

And our reps at the district level took cuts.

And we did vote down concessions the first time in bankruptcy I.

Your post make it appear that you are bragging about these things. So sad!

Dressed in business attire in the court.

And not bragging, telling it like it happened, so what's your excuse for taking concessions out of chapter 11?

My current Labor Agreement was signed without further ratification by James C Little, you will have to ask him. After claiming we had an illigitimate agreement without a complete re-vote, he signed off on it without that re-vote. SO I didnt "take anything" it was shoved down my throat.

700UW...We were force fed the contract with threats from both the company and the union. Yes the vote was FOR concessions....However, Jim Little had stated that were the concessions voted down, he would have used constitutional poweres to override the vote...

And you did nothing.

Unions have to re-learn the fact that the courtroom is not our arena, especially if its a court room with just a Judge who is most likely biased against us, the odds are stacked against us and getting worse, our arena is the shop floor or production line.

All the more reason you need more than just a layman who got promoted to lead you into battle, Bob...

Didn't the pilots take it in the shorts without as so much as BOO in response?

It was sold to us by the TWU that it would be worse in chapter 11. After enduring 8 years of brutal concessions, and with no end in sight, I want chapter 11!
As far as Jim Little goes, he had the perfect opprotunity to tell Don Carty where to go after AA disclosed the BK protection for the 45 top idiots in AA, but Jim put his tail between his %ss and signed it anyway. Now, he's giving AA an out again by standing around and picking his a%% with negotiations. Totally Pathetic!
