United Mechanics Contract

Do you think the two active IAM drives have nothing to do with the raise then you are beyond help.
Are you talking about the 2 active drives that have been going on for decades now?

Even current IAM members don't want them around anymore!

No I haven't changed anything, and they let you fix aircraft parts is simply amazing.

Guess your instruction manual is pics and pop ups so you can understand it.

The value is having a CBA, so you aren't at the company's whim.

Did you like it when DL cut your profit sharing in 2012 by 33%?

Go ask your DL pilots what was one of the main reasons they overwhelmingly voted down their TA?

So that's why there are thousands of cards signed and more coming in daily.

Guess you are on the pulse of the FAs and ramp from your workbench in a backshop in ATL.

You will never learn
It had nothing to do with the IAM. Everything to do with Wall street and some other CEO believe the frontline people shouldn't get PS.

Nope, you will never learn.

Classic company move to thwart a union drive.

So are you like SW and have the pulse of the FA and Ramp drive from your bay in the hangar?

Decades? Exaggerate much?

Pretty sure Dawg's post was sarcastic...

Seeing is believing and you sure have the pulse of the FAs an Ramp from your workbench I. A backshop where you see no FAs and no Rampers.

You forgot to add DL people didn't need the IAM to get that 14.5%, nor do they they need to subtract dues from it!
You sir are an uneducated imbecile making a statement like that. Unions have everything to do with your success over there at Delta. Perhaps you are one of the scabs from NWA?

Yes this is a UAL board.
The contract that is a forced close out by the company is a P.O.S. and you can probably tell what my vote is at this time. We are losing over 30 items according to the union and they are hoping to get the info to us next week as soon a UAL gets the changes to them. Don't believe the companies info they put out as the are sugar coating it, BIGTIME. They are doing this to see how divided we still are!!! A big carrot was thrown to get the S-ua guys to vote yes and it is the retirement, which is not as great as you think, but I understand it is better than nothing. The other thing is people will vote yes when they see the 46.15 per hour but need to remember it is an all in one rate and the others in our group that don't have the a&p are getting screwed. The s-co side we are losing more than gaining.
One thing the company forgot as they are being cheap is where is all the back pay along with the signing bonus. S-ua is out 2yrs and s-co is 3 without a contract. Pretty sure if they had done it they would get their proposal passed. It is pretty much another revenue neutral one and it really is not going to cost them as much as they are playing it out to be.
I am not going to speak for the rest of the s-co techs but some of us that have talked are not happy with what is going on. We have worked for a long time to get where we are with our contract and to see it tore to shreads isn't making us happy.
The company is doing a divide and conquer and I bet it will work since after 5 years we still aren't united.
I hope we all can stand together and tell them we are not going to take a non-negotiated sub par contract and tell them to get back to the bargaining table and get it right this time. The new CEO and now acting one said they want to treat the employees right. They need to prove it and get the people who thru this garbage at us pull it back and get it right this time. We had hope for a great change but their actions are proving what they are saying is totally different. It will take a long time for me to believe what they say after this garbage.
Pull this P.O.S  and get back to the table and do it right.

You know what they say about opinions and I'm sure the raises your about to see, 25% had nothing to do with the raises at DL?

And nice try, no scab here and though not a union member, nor wanting to be one, would never cross a picket line like the IAM did at NW when their mechanics went on strike....so next time you utter the word scab, might want to look at some of your union brethren!

and what continues to be lost in all of this is that DL employees will STILL have very healthy profit sharing even after 2016 with their pay raise and profit sharing reduction.

all of the talk about AA or UA or anyone chasing DL's scale rates is meaningless unless their new profit sharing is factored in.

Considering that unions have consistently and repeatedly tried to minimize the value of profit sharing, there is far more likelihood that they will do the same thing again in trying to sell a union contract than admitting that DL employees are setting the standard in compensation increases that other airlines simply are not giving their own employees in any type of negotiations.

I personally hope you guys get every dime you CAN get but , don't act like DL employees owe union employees anything, we're the ones that do the work and earn OUR checks!

Of course we do, but it's inaccurate to think that labor at other carriers-and drives on our property- haven't affected our pay/benefits...
