United is a pro of the business! Many years. US Scare was always a big mess after they ruined Piedmont, and PSA. And America Worst was just a regional happy to survive one bankruptcy and 9-11. Let's hope United mgmt will prevail. Or we are in big trouble. :down:

Addendum: I'm pleased that you seem fully knowledgable as to what "Somehow Doug thought". Given that you are privy to such inner secrets...kindly explain the current strategy, and the plan for the future sir. Many of us wish to see some daylight in becoming the lowest ranked airline in America, and given the reverant awe you clearly hold for those at the top; you seem the logical choice to ask.

If United did not seriously want to be with AAA then why did they sign a 50 million good-faith contract? For kicks and grins? I thought that it was brilliant that US got that big break-up fee. And it doesn't matter what they are saying over on their board since "they" are not the ones making the decisions, right? I'll bet that's where Dougie and company are spending their energies right now; that's why they've been MIA lately. IMO, a merge with United would be a dream come true for US and I hope it happens!Hahahahahahah

I believe that UAL has a few senior folks too, just like US since their company started some time before 1983.

If US Airways was in such lousy shape, then why did Doug buy them? None of your posts want to address this one issue, but rather, want to blame the employees, especially east pilots, for the current situation. I STILL believe that what Doug said earlier was correct, that both of these failing companies needed each other. If thay hadn't merged, I'll bet NEITHER would be around right now. Go ahead, try to yell and scream about how good things were at AW, even though we know you're wrong about that.
Now, back to lurking....
