I'll admit that perhaps sometimes we are a little too " at home " with one another , but I still think a good many of our people could put forward the proper customer service face , and our people do love to work for hours and days on end .I would also mention that after all these years of interaction our people are used to all types.

All I'm saying is that if this company cant find people to sit on reservre they need only look for extra personal outside the window . ( please note that I'm not suggesting that rampers want to be REAL FA's , just a fun trip every now and then might be nice )

No, I think you have an entirely fair point in that regard. Unqualified people should not be made flight attendants. Just think it sucks you seem to consider a lot of my pals and coworkers as subhuman. I don't think that's a productive caricature.

Urban legend. Never happened. This story has been going around for 30+ years. Years ago, it was a new hire on the MD80 in TPA I believe....

Yes, this really did happen. The place she called home just happened to be Tel Aviv. And by the time scheduling got this all worked out, it was quite an ordeal for all involved.


Someone's telling you stories. Just checked. And it wouldn't be a big deal; they would fly back with just 9 FAs.

Not that it matters now, but it really did happen and the crew flew back with only 9 f/as as the a/c is staffed normally with 10 f/as. And yes it caused a great deal of issues because of the on board service flows. But the biggest issue was security in Tel Aviv concerning the crew declaration and lack of (missing) personnel.
