Us Ends Pit-dfw Service

As of Jan. the schedule is showing no PIT-DFW service, which is kind of surprising because AA is downgrading their service to Eagle. Anybody know why this is?

that surprises me as does the fact that PHL-ORF are going to be all Express. As of January, ORF will be down to 5 mainline jets a day to CLT.

The PIT to DFW flights are operated by the EMB 170's. The cuts may be due to the fact Republic is taking more EMB170's every month.

I have the USAIRWAYS timetable downloaded, I just went there and checked flts for Jan. PIT-DFW, non stops, they are still showing 2. One in the morning an one in the afternoon. Yes, serviced by EMB 170's.

Thank goodness! Being a former pilot for MDA I can attest to the fact that the load factors on those segments were around 90%. Same for Houston.

I just went on the HUB and pulled up USAirways reservations for the end of January and the DFW flights out of PIT are gone. There are only 3 connection flights. One thru CLT and 2 thru PHL. Bye Bye more flights. 🙁

I wonder why the US timetable has them posted, but not on the hub? I even put in for Feb, it still showed 2 avl flts from pit-dfw.

If the cuts were recently entered it may take a while for all the systems to catch up. I remember when we lost Frankfurt it took 2 weeks for the flight to be out of Sabre.
A good indicator is if the flight is still listed and all the fare types show zero then the flight will be removed.
