I am going no where!
Just a visit to Tulsa to help you losers out the door!! Watch for that foot in your ass!!!
Bye bye Tulsa! Bye bye Tulsa .

See ya & good riddance, don't go away mad just go away, no one wants to hear 6 years of whining.
That goes both ways, we dont want to hear you whine when your stuck working Saturdays and your kids are playing
Soccer, or when they go to the doctor and your deductable is 750 bucks. or you dont get over time because you wasn't asked because a OSM was asked instead. etc.etc. etc.

so I could get a 6 year contract & apparently it worked, come back in 6 years & try again, basically I compared the term sheet to this last contract & made a choice. ;-)

You're correct it worked for the company and the TWU for its increase in the cost of dues and
the continuous dues flow.

Fair enough, however did fear also play a role in your choice?

I singned up for my first field trip in 20 years...........
Only because they said it is going to Tulsa !!
They said we will be greasing tool box wheels.....
Boxing up #### to send to DWH......
Holding the doors open for Tulsa boys and thier boxes
And kicking them square in the ass on the way out the door!!!
I would do it for free but the time and a half will make it much more fun!!
BYE BYE TULSA!!! BYE BYE TULSA!!!!!
Tulsa is on borrowed time. In-house overhaul is on borrowed time. I'm not hating on the Tulsa guys, I was one of them at one time. I left Tulsa for the line 26 years ago but the sad fact of the matter is the airline industry is changing and with the evolution of these MRO's in-house overhaul will some day probably sooner the later be a thing of the past and at some point a little further down the line the line maintenance will probably be contracted out as well. The Class II's will be on the chopping block next go around. They can't get rid of in-house overhaul overnight. It takes time to change the way they've been doing buisness for what 40-50 years. They take a chunk of it now, they may take a another chunk of it in 3 years in exchange for some wage increases and some of those work rules, sick days, etc back but slowly but surely they'll get out of overhaul. One only needs to look at the rest of the industry to see the reality of that happening. Manipulating us into giving up system protection is the tip of the iceberg. The door's propped open now. Yes vote, no vote doesn't matter cause the end result will be the same. The big picture is getting rid of all of us. The younger guys should be thinking about a career change and hopfully we still have a few years left before it all goes away for us older guys to reach retirement age. It'll get to a point if you want to be an aircraft mechanic working on airliners you'll be working for an MRO or contract maintenance provider. I hope I'm wrong!

Pretty much the way it is LAX, the difference is, the other majors did it the ole rip the bandaid off way. Bankruptcy. The line guys got screwed at AA bigtime and will have to live with it for 6+ years.

Now, as the other major's mechanics negotiate, they have to fight to keep what they have and not be brought down to AA's pay and benefit level. Who knows what the industry pay and benefits will look like in 6 years. This point seems to be lost on the yahoos that voted for this crap.

The irony is that in 10 years I believe AA will be the last airline that a mechanic will want to be working for. Line or OH.

I agree with you that we are seeing thelast of the good times.

What a difference 20 years makes.

So basically you decided to live in fear for six years never knowing when the company will decide to wield this company contract. Six years of knowing YOU caved to fear and lies by the twu and company.

The pilots have NO RESPECT for management and said so with their no vote. YOU on the other hand agree with management/union and will travel the world on your knees; with a paper bag on your head.

This is not a personal attack simply an observation from your admitted yes vote.
This t/a was apparently voted in but what will be perfectly clear is the twu getting voted out.

Tulsamechanic9, your a disgrace to Tulsa and the profession. You must be a low seniority employee with the comments that you post. Go AMFA!

What was written was better than option A, it's done so get over it & move on.
That is basically what was said when the B-Scale was introduced, FEAR and then the C-Scale and then the SRP program and then the OSM's. Now it is Dock mechanics having their license premiums taken away.

The TWU has never cared for the license premium. The TWU and most likely the IBT does not care for your skill. There are few non A&P's that really understand what having a skill means. Tulsa is so full of fear. The only solution is to separate from the TWU/IBT Industrial Unionism.
