I live in a suburb of PIT around 45,000 population....took around 50 minutes to vote.
Was the largest crowd I've seen here since moving here some 15 years ago.

To your question,......my town(26,000)...LOTS of people,.......5 minutes in the check-in/ID line,..........then ample booths, to fill in all the "D" spaces.
(2nd BEST vote I cast, was to VOTE OUT a sitting republican Senator....."ADIOS JOHN SUNUNU")

We had early voting in Kansas. I voted last Friday at 8:00 a.m. when they opened. The parking lot was already full at that time, but the total time was about 15 minutes. When I left at 8:15. cars were lining up down the street to get into the parking lot, which was pretty typical for that location. Early voting ended at noon yesterday, but at 10:00 a.m., the line of cars was almost one mile long waiting to get into the parking lot. They estimate that about 30% of voters were going to vote early. This morning, waits on the Kansas side have been minimal, but waits on the Missouri side are over an hour.I live in a suburb of PIT around 45,000 population....took around 50 minutes to vote.

We will vote on the way back from the store but supposedly 60% of Dallas voted early so hopefully that will cut the wait down.
I didnt wait at all. I requested a ballot online and it was sent to me the next day. I got to look over the issues I wasnt sure about on my computer while I was voting and sent it back the next day. No muss, no fuss.

They have this voting thing down pat in Dallas County, TX. I voted the 2nd day of early voting two weeks ago. Early voting polls opened at 8am each day. I got to the sub-courthouse in Oak Cliff (in Dallas) at 9am. The line was already out the door into the parking lot. I was back home approx. 3 miles from the polling place by 9:35am.
I have a retired friend who has been working as a poll clerk this year. He said at his precinct the early voting was heavy all day long every day. I saw one article in the paper that estimated as many as half the eligible voters were going to vote early here.

I voted ~ 2 weeks ago... 10 minutes from turning off my car to turning it back on, and that included filling out the absentee voter paperwork...

Not only could you take your time reading up on the issues, but it also used to really engage a lot of people. In the days leading up to a "big" vote, you'd see people with their pamphlets everywhere (eg. debating issues with friend in restaurants, in breakrooms, etc.).

I was at the polling place at 0530. It took me 2 hours. This was in Virginia. The turn out was incredible. I was late for work. The polls just closed and the line is still super deep.
Here in Pa..........there's spot's where there's more in line at the cutoff time....heard they would extend...but WTF if you're in line and they shut the door?
Poll worker told me they'd shut the door...if you weren't inside....you screwed....'scuse I mean disenfranchised 😱

Where I live the polls close(d) at 10 PM, but as long as you were in line by 8 PM, they'd stay open until you got to vote, no matter how late that might be...
