Better WX? Hold a hair dryer in front of your face to experience a breezy summer day in PHX.

Better trips? What time on you body clock would you have to get up for an am east departure? I always felt sorry for the west coast crews on the 0700 van to the airport.

Ex PSA get back closer to home? How many are left, and of those who would want to move again?

I heard a rumor that DP does not think there should be 6 east coast crew bases. Has anyone heard this?

Yes! Close all of them except for the new IND base!

Fear of a mass influx into PHX from the east is totally overblown. Most of U have deep roots in the esat and south, and will never move. There are the PSA west coast pilots, but they're ALL flying Intl. and will never take the big drop in pay to fly domestic. A handful of pilots who fly narrow body live in PHX. The number is somewhere around 30.

I agree with this. I am staying in PIT, if that isnt possible, I will still stay somewhere on the East. If I am going to have to commute, I can guarantee you it isn't going to be PHX. Count me out. 😀
