No the TPA was just an overnight or c-check hangar, three bays no where near the size of CLT.
CLT is the largest facility and the only one that can hold the A330 totally enclosed and not have its tail hang outside.

PHX can have a C check line if they are willing to take a 23% pay cut along with a huge cut in benefits.. That's how PIT and CLT got to keep their heavy check lines..
You want a C check take a cut, don't want a pay and benefits cut then you don't get a C check.. Its that simple..

PLZ don't take this wrong I mean no disrespect. I feel your pain and we see what you have lost in the 2 BK's but if you step back for one min. and look at what the west boys and girls have had to put up with just trying to get a fair wage, We also have had a bad time here with a BK in early 1991, the close of C-CK in the hanger in 1995, Mass lay off in 1995, C-CK farmed out and we have been fighting our way back right up to this merger with Stalls on our contract since 2003. Now are not we a pair, Striped and Abandoned and Under Paid Group EAST and WEST. I and many others think its time to put the past behind us east/west and start to work on today with what will be BEST for us all. Have A GOOD ONE MY BROTHER. PIT only has 2 hangers, Hanger 3-4 is one building 3 Bays on one side 3 bays on the other and hanger 5. No room for tail docks in hanger 3-4 can only nose in 737 for the doors to close. Not going to get into who does better work everybody does great work, from a facility standpoint the ones in CLT are far superior, lots of room in both facilites for much more work to be done in house!
so let me see. US has decided to keep some maint. in house and we are complaining about who has the bigger hanger? I would think the strategy would be for the employees to figure out a way to perform all maint checks in house at a competitive cost so more maint comes in. I must be missing something.
