What is Happening to Trips In #base PHL

the doo doo that I can smack back is that you all just let afa usapa have a free pass. have you ever heard of Roto Rooter? don't tell me people have not tried to help you because they did and got crucified for it. you don't like it then pick up the phone like I am and get answers instead of eating the dog food.

It is such a frustrating situation we have going here. We as flight attendants can call and call and call the union to let them know our displeasure but nothing changes. UNTIL we have people that KNOW what the hell is going on we will see no change. We have so many reserve issues but nothing gets corrected. By reserve issues I mean c'mon.....we could go for days with that one. 🙄 There are a few in the local 70 office with some brains but I'll tell ya, they should play the theme song to Laurel and hardy. Issues are under their noses yet NOTHING gets done. IF complaints to the company are made....I ASSURE you that the company isn't listening nor takes the union seriously. I do believe the doo doo is making it's way to the more senior people and they are feeling the pinch. Besides going to the union and voicing your concern what more can you do? It's such a dog chasing tail ordeal.

I hear they are having a reserve meeting in CLT on the 27th, and while I would like to go, I fail to see the point. I have been told repeatedly, by MF and JM, that the company has no interest in changing anything for reserves outside of a new, single agreement. Period. Remember about 2 years ago when MF made a list of ~14 "enhancements" that the company could implement to ease the burden of continuous reserve? I believe the company agreed to two of the suggestions submitted by AFA: Lower the min time for BH to 40 hours/month, and lower the secondary line values. While these may have helped, clearly they are not enough. Further, it is clear that the Company couldn't care less.

Now, that said, my question is this: Why, then, are they having a reserve meeting in CLT, if the AFA has already admitted the Company is unwilling to offer relief? Don't our Reserve Chairs know what the issues are yet? I am assuming (hoping!) that our JNC already knows what we reserves are looking for in a new contract, so what is the point of the meeting? I rarely miss a LEC meeting, but I don't see the point of trying to non-rev to CLT and have myself be heard, when nothing will be done outside of a new contract. Correct me if I am missing something?

And, I still fail to see where the lines have become drastically worse in Sept? They look the same to me. Also, if I were to call JM or Carol every month and cry about how horrible the lines of flying have become, what pull does he/ she have with line construction? My guess is none.

There. I feel better.

If y'all can hold weekends off, you're doing better than me. I expect it gets worse before it gets better ....

Of course "management" has no interest in changing anything. They have the cheapest FA group in the industry.

You have to put "management" in a position where it will be less expensive to "change". Consider CHAOS™.

I'm sorry but Delta has the lowest cost F/A group by FAR.

I believe our west flight attendants would disagree. I don't know much about the Deltoids pay but I'd be shocked if it were lower than what our brothers/sisters in PHX are dealing with. It's horrible.

Hey kids, remember Doug’s fun little DL merger a couple of years ago? From an old thread:

Actually, I figure it a different way. At DL, we don't get paid for time between flights or time sitting in a hotel (except for per deim, of course) only time on the aircraft with the door closed. So, if I work 80 hours per month, and make 52.90 per hour; then that would be like someone on the ground working 160 hours per month at 26.46 per hour, which isn't too pathetic!
F/A 80hours x 52.90=4232.00
Ground worker 160hours x 26.46=4232.00
