MaaRk - wake up... It doesnt matter how much you have on hand... The company can file at any time. you also need to look at your debt... AA has way more debt than cash on hand... Cash on hand doesnt save your arse, and you will find this out in negotiations, bend over baby..
Thats not true... In order for a company to file BK they have to fall into a certain debt ratio.... With almost 6 billon in cash it wont happen ..... Also with the BK laws being revised, it is not as easy to file... companies are more liable for their debt.
As far as upcoming negotiations, we'll be lucky to keep what we have... too early to play tough...
 
Maark, don't be so sure about that. If creditors are onboard, a pre-packaged filing isn't out of the picture, with some of that cash being used to secure or even in lieu of DIP financing.

Well, this time I wouldn't roll over like the last time... Something will always pop up, and guess who they will want to turn to for help?? the employees..........
